Spring has sprung, the cat is venturing back outdoors in the sunshine, and My Meow is channelling Easter vibes with the Hoppy Happy box!
There has been a very slight change to the box this month – the MyMeow Magazine (which is very good) has now moved online. There is still lots of fun stuff to read, including recipes, problem page, felines in literature, and lots more. Instead of the magazine there’s an insert that tells you what’s inside.
Of course you still get the fantastic themed illustrations , which I think are marvellous, so cheerful and fun!
As always, there are goodies both for eating and playing.
Treat-wise we have Daily Eats Cheese Crunchy Cushions, Natural Eats Chicken Fillet Mini Strips, and Daily Eats Chicken Crunchy Cushions.
One of the lovely things about MyMeow is that their treats are always really good quality. Natural treats are most common, and generally tasty. If your cat has a particular preference, or dislike you can let them know and they will do their best to accommodate. My cat goes especially crazy for cheese, so I have a feeling that some of these aren’t going to last very long!
This is a combine toy and scratch pad. The bunny shape is very appropriate for Easter! There’s a dangly carrot to play with, and the hessian pad has just the right amount of texture to make scratching effective. There is also a loop at the top so you can hang it from a doorknob, which is especially useful if you have a cat that likes to scratch in the upright position!
Also included are two smaller toys. There’s another rabbit that makes a pleasing crinkling noise, and the mouse (I think!) which has an extra special secret.
Included with the little mouse toy are three bags, a bit like teabags, which are filled with silvervine. I hadn’t actually heard of silvervine before, but it turns out it’s rather like catnip but more potent and more cats respond to it.
There’s a little pocket in the back of the mouse that you pop the bag into, close it up and away you go!
My cat LOVED it! She spent ages sniffing at it, and then pounced and got very excited.
She loved to chew on the tabs which make the hands and feet as well as the actual label – for some reason she finds labels very amusing. I think the slivervine definitely has a great effect!
