This month YumeTwins has done something a bit special – a Mega Mystery Box!

The box itself is twice the usual size, and inside are a selection of bigger kawaii goodies that don’t fit into the regular boxes. Like the name suggests the contents are a mystery, but one item that will definitely be inside is a Large Plushie.

The large plushie is likely to be one of the exclusive and limited editions from a past box, which are the most requested items from subscribers.

So this month doesn’t have a regular menu, because the items are a surprise, but the booklet still has all the fun and informative extras about Japanese and kawaii culture.

Cinnamoroll Devil Pouch Plushie – Large Plush

This gorgeous plush in a YumeTwins exclusive made in partnership with Sanrio. It was a special way back in October 2020, and he’s especially good for Halloween. He carries a trident, has a little devil horn headband and his eyes, which are usually blue, are red! On the back is a little zippered pouch and there’s also a hanging loop. He really is adorable, the perfect mixture of cute and spooky, and being a YumeTwins exclusive is a plush you won’t find anywhere else.

My Melody Sakura Plush Keychain 2022

A smaller plush but a large keychain! This beautiful sakura-themed My Melody was a limited edition Japan-only product last year. She’s super detailed, from the little sakura blossoms on her dress to the petals on the lace-trimmed bow. This is just adorable, and there’s a hanging loop for bags and keys too.

Sailor Moon Sailor Mercury Mini Backpack Pouch Keychain

Another hanging item, this time a velvet mini backpack pouch with a design from the costume of Sailor Mercury, one of the characters in Sailor Moon anime franchise. It’s a very cute item, with a zipped opening for keys, mints etc. and a carabiner for attaching to a bag.

Sailor Moon Eternal Qposket Figure

This types of figures are well-known for various manga and anime characters. This Sailor Moon range consists of eight different figures of ‘kawaiified’ Sailor Moon characters. This version shows the titular character with the Moon Kaleidoscope Scope weapon variation.

Takara Tomy Arts Pokemon Sound Plush – Pikachu

This is a super fun toy. It’s Pikachu, and he talks! You press his stomach and one of three phrases comes out. Now, I’m not sure exactly what he’s saying, as I don’ understand it (and it’s pretty squeaky!) but it’s incredibly cute. The plush also has a hook on the top so you can hang it off a bag or even use it as an oversize keychain.

Well, this box is certainly all the kawaii! It's pretty cool having several larger items, and all from premium brands and franchises. I think my favourite is the Cinnamoroll plus, I love the combination of cute and scary, though the little sakura keychain comes a very close second, she's so pretty. The Qposket figure featured in last April's YumeTwins box, but this is a different one, so it's nice to have two from the same range. The only thing about this box I don't completely love is that the items are for the most part decorative. I adore YumeTwins and some of my favourite items have been things like useful accessories - like food boxes or water bottles - or stationery items. But as this box is about things which are bigger than usual, and more than one of them - it really is a big box! - I understand thy bigger is definitely better here. I'm overall very pleased with the items inside, they're great fun and a nice variety, and definitely a terrific boost to any kawaii collection!
