We’ve got a fun theme for September: Time Travel Treats! 
I love the retro idea of this theme, it sounds like there are going to be some really original things in here. I’m also excited to see the anime items, character snacks are always fun!
You’ve always got a full list and descriptions of all the goodies in the box, because of course it’s not always easy to tell from the packaging.
This month’s drink is UCC Evangelion Milk Coffee. This canned milky coffee drink is delicious chilled in hot weather. These special Evangelion cans have been created in conjunction with the release of the new movie of this highly-rated anime series.
Japan always has the best Kitkats, and this Ocean Salt version is no different! This is a special edition version, and has salted cream between the wafer layers and then coated in white chocolate. The packaging is also specially designed to be recyclable, and each of the 12 bars features a gorgeous sea life picture. There are even directions to make tiny origami animals on the back!
Everybody loves Pokemon! These yummy Pokemon Ottotto Crackers contain vegetables, and are shaped like veggies too! Not only that, but there are Pokemon shaped crackers hiding in the box too.
Three little dagashi here. A Lucky Cat Candy, with a retro design and the candy changes colour as you eat it. A Cola Ball jelly sweet, and on the right, a Shaved Ice Jelly, which can actually be frozen for a cool summer treat.
These Noir Brown Sugar Syrup & Kinako Cocoa Sticks are a really rather sophisticate snack. They are cookie straws but they contain the special brown sugar from Okinawa, prozed for it’s caramel flavour, plus kinako, which is a roasted soy flour with a beautiful nutty taste. Definitely one to savor.
Japan Pride Potato are a very special kind of potato chips. They have been created to showcase traditional Japanese taste and design, from the stylish package to the flavour or eel, seaweed, and soy sauce. This produces a unique and completely Japanese variety of crisps.
Tirol Choco Japanese Sweets Selection is a bag of the famous Tirol Choco chocolates in a variety of flavours, all representing Japanese sweets mochi and dango.
Cabbage Taro is a popular crunchy corn puff snack. It doesn’t actually contain cabbage at all, though it is round, but it’s flavoured with tonkatsu sauce and tiny flakes of nori.
These are a very traditional Japanese sweet treat, Mocchan Dango. These chewy mochi (rice cakes) come in the traditional three colours, and the packaging has cute and funny faces. A real taste of Japan!
This is a little snack for you to put together. Nostalgic Sauce Senbei Nostalgic Sauce Senbei is a crunchy rice cracker (senbei) that comes with a little sachet of sauce to add as you like. It’s both sweet and salty, and is a favourite treat from childhood for many Japanese people.
Pon Rice Bar is made from Japanese crispy crunchy puffed rice, and is flavoured with the delicious complex taste of soy sauce.
Saucy Soba Snacks are crunchy dried noodles with a delicious sweet-salty flavour that is so beloved in Japan. They are delicious as a snack, or you can use them as a crunchy topping to cooked noodles.
Umaibo is one of the most popular and iconic of all Japanese snacks. These puffed corn sticks come in a multitude of flavours, and this one is the very latest variety! It’s Seaweed Salt Flavour, with the simple but delicious taste of classic Japane nori.
Finally, Sparrow Egg Peanuts. They’re not eggs, of course, but they do resemble the tiny eggs of sparrows. They are actually peanuts coated in a crispy coating that is flavoured with sweet and spicy soy flavour. They also have a fun retro design on the packaging.
