This month Nomakenolife is adding a little romance into your self-care and beauty routines, by way of the the Valentine’s Wish box of skincare and beauty from Japan and Korea.
There’s a full menu with descriptions of each item, and there’s a little skincare guide too, this time for keeping your lips in tip-top shape – quite appropriate for the season!
The first lip care item is Choosy x Love Tavern Meiko Cola Lip Pack. Love Tavern Meiko is a fun bar with a great retro vibe, and they’ve partnered with popular cosmetics brand Choosy to create a range of lip masks with a retro design. There’s one of four, named for cocktails, and I’ve got the Pineapple Sour. These masks are very nice, a soft oversized lip shape that’s infused with delicious moisturising ingredients, plus a delicious smell!
Heart Lip Balm is a cute and convenient lipstick-type lip balm, perfect for keeping in your bag or purse. It comes in one of three flavours, I’ve got the grape, and it’s even in the shape of a heart! Keeping with the lip theme, I’m Meme Mystery Flash Lip Tint is a great all-day product for colour and moisture for your lips. It’s light in texture but with a great amount of pigment, and the foam topped applicator gives you a nice smooth finish.
Dodo Chocolate Bar Blush is one of those products that works well and also has a cute fun design. The ‘chocolate bar’ shape to the right is a blusher, and there is a highlighter on the left, which looks a bit like a milk coating! A nice two-in-one product.
There are two full face masks in addition to the lip mask this month. First there’s a Strawberry Animal Face Pack, which has a cute design and infused with collagen, plus a lovely strawberry scent. There’s also a Risim Deep Care Berry Mask. This can be used morning or night, and has a super-moisturising formula, especially useful for the drying effect of the cold weather.
This month we also have two accessories. First there’s a OHEYA Fluffy Hair Band. This soft band is perfect for pulling your hair off your face either for washing or for using one of the lovely sheet masks. There’s also a set of Nail Guards. These clever things clip over your fingers shielding wet nail polish and stopping those inevitable nicks and smudges while you’re waiting for them to dry, If you’re a home manicure fan these are extremely useful.
