Glossybox are one of the most popular and well-known beauty boxes on the market, and it’s easy to see why as they work with a wide range of different brands, many of which are luxury and high-end. Every month, they send you a surprise selection of beauty products that often includes a mix of skincare, haircare, makeup and bath and body treats, some of which are full-size products. It’s a fun way to try out some new products and brands, so whether you’re a self-confessed beauty junkie or someone who’s just starting to explore different products, Glossybox is definitely worth a try.
Everything is sent out in their iconic pink boxes, and most of the boxes are curated around a generalised theme every month. For March, all of the products are related to ‘prepping and perfecting’, so here’s what I found inside this month’s Glossybox.oOultion Eye Love (full size, RRP £30)
I use an eye cream usually twice a day (once in the morning and once in the evening), so I’m always interested in trying out different ones. This one is from the French brand oOultion, and it’s been created by their founder Anne-Marie’s mission to develop a range of skincare that doesn’t rely on just one or two ingredients, but instead uses a whole host of natural actives to fully benefit the skin. Eye Love is a 100% natural formula that’s rich in antioxidants to help to reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness, two things that I always look out for when I’m buying an eye cream. It feels very nourishing on the skin and I have high hopes for it in the long term – only time will tell!Sleek Makeup Eye & Cheek Palette in Dancing Til Dusk (full size, RRP £10)
I’m a big fan of Sleek and use a lot of their products because they perform really well and are super affordable. I’m also an avid collector of makeup palettes, so when I saw this in the box, I knew I was going to love it and it didn’t disappoint! Housed in a slim black compact case with a large mirror, this palette contains four eyeshadows and two cheek colours, as well as a mini brush and a double sided sponge applicator. The shades are gorgeous and work well together – especially the more shimmery eyeshadows with that pretty peachy blusher. Pigmentation and staying powder is also great as it lasts throughout the day, so it’s a fantastic palette to have in your makeup collection and would be perfect for travelling with. This Works In Transit Camera Close-Up (20ml travel size, full size retails for £30)
This Works is a brand that you can’t ever go wrong with – everything I’ve tried from them has been nothing short of amazing and to put it bluntly, their products really do work! I currently already use the In Transit Camera Close-Up, so I’m more than happy to have an extra travel size tube for my holiday bag. This is a brilliant multi-purpose product that you can use as a hydrating/moisturising face mask, day moisturiser and as a makeup primer. It makes my skin really soft, smooth, plumped up and looking much fresher and brighter overall. Lots of celebrities like Victoria Beckham swear by it and I totally agree – it’s a must-have!Schwarzkopf Professional Blond Me Keratin Restore Bonding Shampoo (full size, RRP £13)
I have to admit that my heart did sink a little when I saw this shampoo for blonde hair as I have dark brown hair myself, but after reading the accompanying information card which details all of the products inside the box each month, it does state that anyone with fragile, coloured or damaged hair can also use it regardless of your hair colour. It’s a sulfate-free shampoo enriched with keratin to create new bonds within the hair’s fibres to help make it stronger, smoother and less damaged. My hair is naturally quite dry which means that it does get damaged very easily, especially when I blow-dry and straighten it, so I’ll definitely be giving this shampoo a go to see if helps.[Comfort Zone] Sublime Skin Serum (8ml sample size, full size retails for £78)
The last product in March’s Glossybox comes from an Italian brand called [Comfort Zone]. This sample of their Sublime Skin Serum is described as a creamy, innovative anti-aging serum that acts on the architecture of the skin by strengthening it and making it more ‘cushiony’ by firming and plumping it. It’s suitable for all skin types but is particularly useful for those who have dry, mature skin so I think I’ll pass this onto my mum who loves trying out new anti-aging serums.
All in all, I’d say this is a good box from Glossybox again this month, especially in terms of value for money, and the quality and variation of the products and brands included, with the Sleek makeup palette being my favourite item. Looking forward to next month’s box already!
