I love beauty subscription boxes and I’m very happy to see more cruelty-free and natural beauty boxes appear on the market within the last year or so. This has certainly been led by the growing consumer demand for cleaner, more natural and organic products as beauty fans are becoming more aware of the ingredients that are used in their cosmetics and everyday toiletries. Not only that, but the rise in veganism in the UK (and around the rest of the Western world for that matter), has helped to spread awareness of animal suffering with many consumers also wanting to purchase cruelty-free and vegan-friendly products.
However, it can still be difficult to find products which tick all the right boxes in the shops, which is where The Natural Beauty Box comes in. They do all the research and shopping for you, making sure that everything in their boxes is natural, cruelty-free and vegan. What I also love about this company is that they work with up and coming, award-winning, artisan brands, so you get to discover brand new products from companies who you may not have heard of yet, before anyone else – how awesome is that?!
Every month, you’ll receive a surprise selection of 5-7 products and August’s theme is called Summer Blooms. Here’s what I found inside:-
PHB Ethical Beauty Hydrating Facial Tonic in Ylang Ylang (full size, RPP £13.95)
This is a lovely hydrating facial toner spray from PHB Ethical Beauty. It’s infused with Ylang Ylang to help regulate the skin’s natural moisture levels, keeping it happily hydrated which makes it perfect for dry, dehydrated and mature skin types. I love this toner spray as it feels so wonderfully refreshing when you use it – perfect for those sticky hot summer days!
Siskyn Luxe Frankincense & Jasmine Night Facial Oil (full size, RRP £46)
Retailing for a whopping £46, this is a seriously luxurious and beautiful night time facial oil from Siskyn. It’s 100% organic and has won a 2017 Beauty Shortlist Mama & Baby Finalist Award, as well as a 2017 Special Recognition from the Natural Health International Beauty Awards which is really impressive! This is an intensive oil designed to be used in your evening skincare routine to boost collagen production, soothe the skin and calm any damage. It contains a rich blend of 17 certified organic luxurious, highly active, botanical oils, including Organic Rosehip, Calendula and Baobab. I’ve used it three times so far for the past couple of nights and every morning, I’ve woken up to incredibly soft and plumped up skin that has a lovely glow to it, so I’ll definitely be looking forward to using the rest of this bottle.
Fairypants Vegan Dry Skin Balm in Rose & Mint (full size, RRP £9.99)
I have very dry skin so I’m always looking for new products to try out which will help. This huge tin from Fairy Pants contains a fantastic Vegan Dry Skin Balm that’s packed full of nourishing and moisturising natural ingredients such as Jojoba Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Shea Butter. It has a subtle scent of Rose and Mint and it works a treat on any dry bits, plus you only need to use a tiny amount each time, so this tin will last forever!
Bloomtown Botanics Infused Oil in The Meadow (full size, RRP £4.80)
This roll-on natural fragrance from Bloomtown Botanics is the perfect size for popping into your handbag or travel bag, and is a great way to freshen up on the go. The all-natural infused oil not only smells good (I have the scent The Meadow which is a blend of Lavender, Rose Geranium, and Chamomile), but is also nourishing for your skin as well. Another lovely new discovery!
Lucky Cloud Botanical Skincare Blooming Marvellous Lip Butter (full size, RRP £4.50)
The last product that I found in this month’s box is a tin of Lip Butter from Lucky Cloud Botanical Skincare. This is their Blooming Marvellous Lip Butter and blooming marvellous it is! It features an ultra hydrating blend of Coconut and Cocoa Butters, alongside Sweet Almond, Thistle and Vitamin E Oils, to keep dry lips smooth and moisturised.
