Nail polish fans will adore the Mani and Lola subscription boxes, and I’m absolutely smitten with their January box! Each month, Mani and Lola will send you 5-8 products that can include a variety of high-end and premium nail polish brands, salon professional nail treatments, nail care tools and accessories, and more. The addition of the nail care items makes this box stand out from the others for me, and offers more of a complete package which is excellent value for money. Each box is also guaranteed to include at least three full-sized products as well, so this would make a great gift for a loved one or a fabulous treat for yourself!
The box is beautifully presented in a pull-out drawer style and all of the products arrived in perfect condition. January’s edit features some of my favourite nail brands, so let’s jump right in!
Skin Republic Hand Repair Mask (RRP £5.50)
Hand masks are a great way to give your hands a boost of moisture and some extra TLC, especially during Winter, and this treatment from Skin Republic gets to work in just 20 minutes. Enriched with Collagen and 10 Plant Extracts, it made my hands feel incredibly soft and smooth afterwards and was a lovely pampering treat to indulge in.
Cuccio Milk & Honey Butter (RRP £4.99)
For an even more intensive treatment, you can use this pot of Milk & Honey Butter from Cuccio to deeply hydrate hands, feet and body. It includes a specially patented Cuccio formula that releases moisturising emollients every two hours throughout the day, so it’ll work a treat for even the driest hands. A little goes a long way!
Mani and Lola 100/180 Nail File (RRP £2.95)
Next up, I found an interesting 100/180 Nail File which is from Mani and Lola’s own-brand nailcare range. It has a sponge on either side of a nail file in the middle, to lightly shape nails and smooth over imperfections and ridges. I really like this as you can use it on weak nails without causing any further damage to them.
OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener & Colour in Samaon Sand (RRP £18.40)
Moving onto the nail polishes, I was pleased to see one of OPI’s popular Nail Envy Strengthener & Colour polishes as I’ve been wanting to try these out for a while now! I use their original Nail Envy on a regular basis to help strengthen my nails, but this one includes a gorgeous nude colour called Samaon Sand which is one of their bestsellers, so you’re getting the best of both worlds! It goes on sheer, so you need to apply 2-3 coats to get an opaque colour, but I really love it!
Artistic Colour Revolution Reactive Nail Lacquer in Shred It Up (RRP £9.95)
This vibrant orchid purple creme is from Artistic Colour Revolution’s 2017 State of Mind Collection and it’s a beauty alright! It applies smoothly, gives off an incredible shine (which I always love from my nail polishes) and has a 5-free formula which means it’s free from DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor. It features an enhanced adhesion promoting monomer technology so that the polish will last up to 10 days which is brilliant.
China Glaze Nail Lacquer in New Year, New Boo (RRP £8.95)
I was thrilled to see a China Glaze polish in the box as they’re one of my favourite brands and this colour is absolutely stunning. This shade is called New Year, New Boo and is from their 2017 Glam Finale Collection. It’s a deep dark violet-tinted blue that looks incredible on and is perfect for the Winter months. So pleased to have this in my collection!
Butter London Patent Shine 10x Nail Lacquer in Flusher Blusher (RRP £15)
I’m also a big fan of Butter London and love their Patent Shine 10x range because it’s seriously glossy and great quality. This shade Flusher Blusher is a beautiful bright cerise pink to cheer up dark Winter days and looks amazing on toes too!
