This month’s drink is Afternoon Tea White Chocolate Milk Tea. Milk tea is a sweet milky drink and comes in lots of different flavours. It’s really delicious, even if it doesn’t taste how you’d expect tea to taste!
This month’s party pack is Easter Banana Kit Kats. It contains 12 mini Kit Kats which all have cute little Easter bunny designs on the packages! Also the banana flavour is very nice, not too sweet.
This Gudetama Candy is incredibly cute and features my favourite character! These are yogurt hard candies with an orange filling.
These Baby Bear Gummies have a honey pot on the packet, but they are actually different fruity flavours.
Colourful Seeds Soft Candy are a fun mix-and-match candy. There are three different flavours, ramune, orange, and grape, and you can eat them alone or combine them to create other flavours!
These Kyoro-chan’s Custard Pudding Snack are another Easter-themed candy. They are little custard pudding chocolate balls which look like tiny Easter eggs.
These cute Disney-themed packages are Pakkuncho Disney Custard Pudding Biscuits. These are limited-edition little custard biscuits in Easter packaging. Cute and crunchy!
This is a great and unusual flavour combination! These Calbee Plum Seaweed Chips are a mix of sweet and sour plum and salty seaweed flavours. It does sound odd, but the sweet and salty combination works really well! It also has a special packaging design by the Koyoto textile brand Sou Sou.
Umaiwa Cheese are rich cheesy crunchy corn snacks. They are made by the same company that makes Umaibo.
Umaibo are one of my favourite snacks ever, and this Teriyaki version is delicious! It’s basically a crunchy corn puff stick, and they’re amazing.
Healthy Snacking Squishy Lemon Gummies contain extra fibre and protein to help fill you up and avoid overeating.
This month’s DIY candy kit is Choco Banana DIY Kit. You get mini chocolate bananas, chocolate cream, and toppings so you can decorate and create your own choco banana snack.
Don Tacos Grilled Corn Flavour are tortilla chips with extra corn and soy sauce flavour. These are based on grilled corn, which is a popular snack in Japan.
Finally, this month’s sharing pack is Tohato Caramel Corn. It’s not like regular caramel popcorn, instead it’s a crunchy corn snack with a crisp caramel coating, and it’s extremely delicious. This version has a touch of peanut flavour.
This is another great seasonal theme. While Easter isn’t a traditional Japanese holiday, it seems they’ve taken it to heart and produced lots of wonderful themed snacks!
As well as the themed items, I really like the variations of flavours. Things like the plum and seaweed crisps aren’t something you’re ever likely to find outside Japan, so it’s a lot of fun to experience these more unusual flavours.
Four of the snacks are savory, and while it would be lovely to have one or two more I’m really happy they’re all a good size! The caramel corn is amazing, there hasn’t been any for a while in TokyoTreat, and I’m really looking forward to them. Having four little packets is really nice, as it stops me eating it all at once!
These snacks are rarely, if ever, available in the UK, so tracking down prices isn’t really possible. However I can say that I’m always totally confident that the value is excellent, especially when you consider the wonderful selection of things you wouldn’t find outside Japan! You can sometimes find the mini Japanese Kit Kats online in the UK, but they usually cost well over £1 each, so a bag of 12 works out pretty expensive! I’ve not found the banana ones anywhere though.
