This month’s theme has a fun fruity theme!
There’s a full menu list, plus other fun stuff in the menu booklet.
This month’s drink is the amazing Cocoa-Cola Clear. It is only available in Japan, and has a slight lemony flavour. It’s also zero-calorie.
The Party Pack is Melon Bread Cookies. It contains individually wrapped mini melon flavoured cookies, one type plain and the other filled with a custard cream.
This is a Disney Tsum Tsum Chocolate Bar. It’s a little chocolate and wafer bar with chocolate cream in the middle. Simple and delicious.
Banana Man Marshmallow is a funny one! It’s a banana flavoured foam candy with a chocolate centre.
Chip Star are rather like Pringles, and this version is Lemon! It’s an unusual choice for a savory chip, but it’s kind of sour and salty at once, and surprisingly moreish.
This is one of my favourite Japanese snacks – Caramel Corn. It’s not like popcorn, it’s a crunchy sweet corn snack and comes in a large variety of flavours, often seasonal. This one is in Chocolate Mint Flavour. Nice and refreshing.
This Fruit Granola Black Thunder is a granola version of famous Black Thunder bar. It adds strawberries, raisins, and pumpkin seeds to the classic chocolate bar.
Cheese Rice Puffs are exactly how they sound, cheesy, light, and crispy.
This month’s DIY Candy Kit is a Melon Jelly Drink. It’s a simple one this time, just mix powder and water in the little cup included, stir, and you get a liquid jelly drink.
Umaibo are usually savory, but this is a totally new Umaibo flavour – Cinnamon Apple Pie! Really delicious, I hope this flavour is regularly available.
This month’s Share Pack Shimi Corn. These are little packages of crunchy chocolate corn stars. Light and sweet.
The kinosei snack is Honey Apple Hard Candy, a sweet that apparently is also good for soothing sore throats.
Finally, this cute wagashi is a Fruit Donut Gummy. It’s a mixed fruit flavour with a sweet and sour coating.
Again, there are some unusual flavours this month, such as the lemon chips and mint chocolate caramel corn. While not every item is fruity there are certainly enough fruit-based items to justify the theme!
The Coca Cola Clear is really cool, and it’s not available anywhere else, so it’s a really fun thing to have.
My only slight disppointment is that only two items this month are savory. This is partly because the Umaibo is sweet, which is very unusual, but I do love my savory crunch so I hope there’s more next month.
You get a lot of snacks in this box, and I think the value is pretty good, especially as almost everything is more or less exclusive to Japan. It’s great for discovering new flavours and textures, and you’ll definitely try things you won’t have thought of!
