YumeTwins is a monthly box of Japanese kawaii products from Tokyo. It is part of the TokyoTreat subscription box group which also includes TokyoTreat and nomakenolife. Each box contains 6 – 8 kawaii items including plushies and lifestyle goods plus premium anime brands.
They have one-, three-, six-, and 12-month subscriptions costing $35.00, $33.50, $32.00, and $31.50 per month respectively (from around £25).
This month’s theme is Happy Zoo Year!
Lots of fun animal goodies to go with the pun-tastic theme. The featured character Aggketsuko looks crazy and fun! A death metal-loving red panda is pretty out there.
There’s a list and descriptions of all the cute items in the box.
Here’s the Aggretsuku plush. There she is in her death Metal performer mode, complete with KISS-type makeup! Pretty crazy huh?
This Kawaii Scrunchie and Badge Set is super cute! There are five possible character options in the box, and this one is Sumikko Gurashi. Hair scrunchies have come back into fashion, and this is definitely one you’re not going to see anywhere else. It’s even got a little keychain attachment so you can hang it on your bag to always have it to hand. The badge would be fun on your bag or jacket too.
It’s winter, and this Kawaii Zodiac Boar Blanket is perfect for snuggling on the sofa to keep the cold out. 2019 is the Year of the Boar/Pig in the Chinese zodiac, so this is lovely and seasonal for the new year!
Here’s a set of three Big Sanrio Stickers. The options here were My Melody, Pompompurin, or my favourite, Gudetama. I’m so happy I got the Gudetama stickers as he’s my favorite kawaii character!
The featured item is this Medtai Chopping Board and Kitchen Sponge.
The fish is a symbol of good fortune for the New Year. The chopping board itself is thin plastic and came rolled up, which is why my hand is in the picture keeping it flat!
Well, any box that contains Gudetama is going to keep me happy! The scrunchie is really cute, and the blanket is going to be very useful for chilly evenings.
All these items come from Japan, and are often difficult or impossible to find elsewhere.
I really like that the items are both cute and practical, like the chopping board and the scrunchie, though I’m going to have to put something heavy on the chopping board to straighten it out because right now it’s rather curly!
