Nomakenolife contains 8 – 9 items of cosmetic, hair, and skincare products from both Japan and Korea, two places which are very serious about their beauty products.
They have one-, three-, six-, and 12-month subscriptions costing from $35 (around £27) for one month (longer subscriptions are cheaper). Shipping is free.
I’m intrigued by this month’s theme: Tokyo Glow. It’s all about creating a skincare routine to maximize your skin’s health and create a beautiful glowing complexion. I love how it’s inspired by the glow of the sun rising over Tokyo, such a wonderful image!
We have eight items this month, and the menu booklet helpfully includes details and instructions on how to use them. There’s also a guide to creating the best possible routine for caring for your face.
Make You Sheet Mask and Dr Gloderm Night Eye Mask.
The sheet mask is a lovely nourishing mask for regular use, and comes in one of three fruity scents. The eye mask targets the delicate area around the eyes with maximum hydration, and it also has a slight sparkle so would be fun to use to brighten the eyes before going out for a big night.
Actriss Veil Powder.
This is a terrific combination face palette. It contains both a blusher and a highlighter. You can use separately, highlighting the brow, cheeks, and nose, and then adding a blush to the cheeks. They can also be combined with the included brush which creates a translucent setting powder.
Melliesh Denkyu Lip Tint, Sanrio Makeup Removal Sheets, and The Saem Undereye Highlighter and Eyeliner.
Three cosmetic-related products here, two to apply and one to remove!
The lip tint is a surprisingly intense colour with plenty of pigment. It has excellent staying power and includes castor oil and argon oil to nourish the lips.
There is a trend in Japan and Korea to highlight right under the eye, which widens and brightens the look of the eyes. This clever pencil is double-ended, with one end providing a lovely shimmery highlighter and the other end is a dark pencil for a bold look.
Makeup removal sheets are very useful, either for travel or if you don’t like to use much water on your face. These sheets feature kawaii Sanrio characters (I’ve got Little Twin Stars) but they’re not just cute, they contain collagen and hyaluronic acid to care for skin and maintain hydration.
Salon Lady Clay Hair Mask and Sheer Scrunchie.
Caring for your hair is just as important as your skin, and this lovely clay mask contains nine botanical ingredients to really nourish damaged and dry hair. You apply to clean, towel-dried hair and leave to do its work before rinsing. It also has a beautiful smell, leaving you with lovely floral scented hair.
Scrunchies are very popular at the moment, and this one is very cute. It’s made of pretty sheer material with little daisies embroidered on it. Perfect for spring!
