A good cup of tea is one of life’s little pleasures and I love trying out different varieties, so I was excited to try out the Ten Teas Explorer Box. Every month, they send you ten different types of high-quality loose tea (10g each so you’ll receive 100g of tea in total) to enjoy. Postage is free and there are no commitments – you can pause or cancel your subscription at any time.
In addition to the monthly subscription box, Ten Teas offer a range of one-off boxes where you can customize different blends and purchase themed collections and gifts, so it’s well worth having a browse through their website to see what they have to offer.
Below are the contents of this month’s Ten Teas Explorer Box to give you an idea of what you can expect from their subscription service. All of the teas are loose leaf and this box comes with ten Japanese tea filters.
Cool Mint
Mint is one of my favourite types of herbal tea and this one is wonderfully refreshing – you can easily enjoy it hot or cold depending on the weather, and it’s great as an after-dinner tea to soothe your stomach.
Assam Breakfast Blend
You can’t beat a quality cup of Assam Breakfast tea to start off your day, and this black tea blend has a deliciously deep and malty flavour with traditional spicy notes.
Relaxation
Relaxation is one of Ten Teas’ ‘functional’ teas and this blend includes Apple pieces, Lemon Verbena, Lemongrass, Hibiscus, Lemon Peel, Raspberry pieces, Cornflower Petals and Natural flavours. It’s a lovely caffeine-free tea to help you unwind after a long day and has a fruity and floral flavour with juicy citrusy undertones. This was one of my favourites from the box!
Blue Spring Oolong
Perfect for this time of the year, Blue Spring Oolong is an imperial tea that boasts an Orchid blend and many layers of flavour – there are even some dry white wine notes for something different to enjoy in the evening!
Creamy Earl Grey
The name of this tea is spot on – it’s beautifully smooth and creamy, and an excellent example of how good a quality cup of Earl Grey can be. If you like traditional black teas, you’ll love this one.
Blood Orange
I’m a big fan of fruit teas as they are so versatile to drink throughout the seasons, and this Blood Orange blend is both juicy and zesty for a sunny cuppa at any time of the day.
Chinese Ginger
Chinese Ginger is a flavoured black tea with a punchy kick of Ginger to really give it a boost and make it stand out from the crowd. It’s very warming and perfect for a cold day or if you’re feeling run down.
Cream & Caramel Rooibos
Another firm favourite of mine from this month’s box is the moreish Cream & Caramel Rooibos – a wonderful sweet tea with an ultra smooth and creamy finish – absolutely delicious!
Pear & Ginger
I love green tea and drink a lot of different flavours, but this Pear & Ginger is one of the best that I’ve tried in a long while. The two flavours really compliment the hearty base of green tea for an energising blend that’s ideal to drink first thing in the morning.
Izmir Spice Chai
Saving the very best for last, if I had to choose just one new favourite from this box, it would have to be the Izmir Spice Chai. It makes the perfect cup of Chai Tea and incorporates all of the best flavours with a sweet richness and plenty of fruit, floral and spicy notes to keep it interesting. Amazing!
