Toppbox is a monthly box of men’s grooming supplies. It costs £19 per month plus £3.35 p+p, but the box contents will always be a considerably higher value.
I love skincare products, but my husband gets to try out the items for this box, so opinions are mostly his., though I often use these products myself. If you’re buying this as a gift for someone, you’ll definitely be able to share!
This month’s box looks like it’s bursting at the seams! Fortunately it’s posted inside a jiffy bag with extra padding, so everything is quite safe.
On top of the box is the menu card.
You have details of all the products, plus RRPs. I check all of the prices, and they are definitely accurate. It also shows you what incredibly good value this box is.
Christopher Courtney make natural organic and ethical skincare products. This Anti-Oxidant Chocolate Face Cleanser is gentle but cleanses thoroughly, and is suitable for all skin types. I also love the notion of washing your face with chocolate! But don’t worry, it’s not like actual chocolate, it’s cocoa extract which contains a ton of vitamins and nutrients.
Stone Street Soaphouse Geranimo Body Cream is a lovely rich body moisturiser, and is made with all natural oils. No microbeads, parabens, or other nasty stuff. It has a lovely floral smell, and while I don’t associate it with traditional ‘men’s’ scents, it’s not overly strong, and it’s definitely something I’ll be using myself!
Skin serums are a huge treat, especially for tired skin, so Pure Skincare London Vitamin C Face Serum is a really useful product this month. It contains 20% vitamin C as well as Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera, Argan Oil & Vitamin E for maximum nourishment. I’m very tempted to steal this one away for myself, as it feels wonderful on my skin! Though as both my husband and I are both almost always exhausted, I should probably let him share it, as we could probably both use a little skin boost.
Eden Perfumes make vegan fragrance equivalents of well known brands at an excellent price. This one is No. 240 Oud & Wood which is similar to Tom Ford Oud Wood. The woody notes are very distinctive, and while it’s not quite to my husband’s taste, I really like this one! It’s a unisex fragrance, and all the Eden products are impressively long lasting and very good value for money. The fact that they are natural, vegan, and cruelty free is a huge bonus.
MONU Instant Vitality Gel is a product that gives an uplift to tired muscles. It has a lovely cooling effect, and ingredients include arnica and aloe vera.
Vir Original Body Spray is a great fresh-smelling product. It’s made with natural ingredients, and is a nice alternative to perfume. My husband isn’t so much into body sprays as he prefers regular fragrances, but this little bottle is very handy for travelling.
Finally, a fun pair of socks! Great bright colours and pattern, a fantastic addition to my husband’s collection of crazy socks.
I think the standout items this month are the serum and the body cream, and that isn’t just because I want them for myself!
There’s a great combination of items for face and body, and even allowing for the two spray samples, the value of money is superb.
Products have an emphasis on natural ingredients and ethical production, which is very refreshing.
