Lootaku is a premium monthly subscription based service to fulfill everybody’s geeky addictions. Our box features full figure statues and Asia exclusives that you will not find in any other subscription box. We promise no filler or promotional items, and our values are always based on current cheapest prices on Amazon.
Prices and values on the Lootaku website are given US dollars. A one month subscription is $44.99 (three and six month subscriptions are cheaper). This is around £35 and UK Shipping is $17.66, around £14. Slightly pricey, but this is a premium box. Also it’s coming a long way and it’s a big box!
So a 1 month subscription is going to cost you around £49.
Isn’t the box an amazing design?
This month’s theme features three themes which are huge fan favorites.
There’s just one figure this month.
Banpresto Naruto Vibration Stars.
This gravity-defying figure shows Naruto Shippuden in mid leap. The detailing is lovely, and it’s not actually available in the UK until October!
This is an unusual item for Lootalu, a wearable!
It’s an Attack on Tital Blanket Shawl.
It was difficult to photograph, but basically it’s like a short hooded shawl, with poppers to make sleeves.
It’s made from a fleecy material, and has Attack on Titan embroidered on the front, and the back has the incredible large logo you can see above.
Fun for cosplay, dressup, or simply getting snuggly on the sofa!
Another unusual item, this time a Gundam RX-78-2 Mug!
The top opens up like a lid to reveal a metal inner sleeve.
I’m not sure how practical it really is as a drinking vessel, but it would certainly make a remarkable display piece!
Another Attack on Titan item, this time a Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear Blade & Blade Sheath Replica.
This is an impressively detailed item, and includes a tassel and display stand. The replica sword itself also features a click release from the sheath.
Finally, this month’s pin shows Gundam RX-78-2, the same as the mug above. As always it’s a large and beautifully detailed pin.
I always enjoy it when Lootaku goes a little off piste with their items!
The mug and blanket shawl are certainly unusual, and while they’re both fun, I’m not convinced of the actual practicality. That being said, fans of both universes will get a kick out of them both. I think putting them both together along with the sword keychain isn’t quite right, as it’s three more novelty items rather than just one or two.
That being said, I love the figure, it’s always nice to have something that isn’t going to be in the UK for a while. The pin is also splendid quality.
