Gin Of The Month: Altitude Alpine Dry Gin (70cl / 43% ABV)
It’s not often that you find gins which are associated with the French Alps, so it was really interesting to receive this bottle of Altitude Alpine Dry Gin which has a 43% ABV. Inspired by the Alpine town of Chamonix, which is world-famous for its luxury ski resorts, this gin features a beautiful blend of botanicals that include the likes of Juniper, Coriander Seed, Angelica Root, Sweet Orange Peel, Green Cardamom, Dried Myrtille, Pine Needle and Elderflower.
The fresh sharpness of the Pine, Coriander and Citrus fruits give the gin a zingy fruity appeal which is further enhanced with the subtle floral notes. It has a clean, crisp and earthy flavour – perfect for a wintery January G&T!
Mixers & Drinks: Fever-Tree Refreshingly Light Gin & Tonic, Tonica Superfine Tassoni and Pago Cloudy Apple Juice
There’s a lot of choice in this month’s mixers and drinks with four bottles to enjoy. Firstly, you can savour one of the new premixed Gin & Tonics from Fever-Tree in their Refreshingly Light flavour, and then you can sample the premium quality of the Tonica Superfine Tassoni tonic waters to create the perfect G&T with the Altitude Alpine Gin. Lastly, why not try making the Cocktail Of The Month which includes the Pago Cloudy Apple Juice for something different to enjoy?
Additional Garnishes: The Alpinist Cocktail Syrup and Cinnamon & Lemon Slices
To complete the Cocktail Of The Month (recipe in the accompanying GINNED! magazine), you need The Alpinist Cocktail Syrup which pairs wonderfully with the Pago Cloudy Apple Juice and Alpine Gin to create a winter warmer of a drink!
There’s also a packet of Cinnamon sticks and some dried Lemon Slices to use as additional garnishes in your wintery G&Ts this month.
