Penpals are a fantastic part of childhood, so what better penpal for your child than a cat who travels the world?
Banjo Robinson sends a letter from a different country every two weeks. This time he’s been exploring the USA!
Of course it’s a pretty big country so he can’t quite cover it all in one letter.
But this one, as well as some fun facts, talks about his visit to Yosemite National Park, which is a stunning place.
Banjo’s anecdote-filled letters often refer to animal pals he meets along the way, so this destination is perfect!
Letters are personalized to each child using details you provide when you sign up, such as pets, favorite foods etc. You can also add a personal PS vis the website, which is very useful if you would like to use Banjo to praise (or otherwise note) some special achievement, or perhaps just as a reminder to tidy their room!
You don’t just get the letter. There’s also a little illustrated activity and fact map, a delicious recipe card, and a colouring sheet. As an extra nice touch the colouring always refers to things in the letter.
When you have a penpal you also need to write back! Banjo Robinson makes this as simple as possible, because also included is a writing sheet, envelope, and sticker stamps. In case you’re wondering how on earth Banjo receives the letters, they are mailed under the sofa to be collected by a local cat friend.
(No doubt you will realise that in fact the parent sneaks the letter out, and keeps it as a lovely souvenir of their child’s writing.)
There are also stickers for the world map that Banjo sends with his first letter, so your child can follow his adventures around the world.
