ZenPop is a fun way to have Japanese products delivered to your door in the UK. The company offers a range of monthly subscriptions for items such as Stationery, Sweets, Ramen and more – it’s definitely worth checking out their website to see which pack appeals to you the most, or why not try more than one?!
These are the different types of subscription packs that ZenPop offers:-
- Ramen Pack – 7 bowls of authentic and delicious Japanese noodles
- Stationery Pack – 10 cute and high-quality items, including 3 writing tools
- Sweets Pack – 15 kinds of weird and wonderful Japanese sweets and snacks
- Ramen & Sweets Mix Pack – 2 or more bowls of ramen and at least 6 sweets and snacks
All the packs are shipped from Osaka to the UK and there are no customs charges to pay.
Here are the contents of this month’s ZenPop Sweets Pack which is themed Tea Time:-
Brown Sugar Tapioca Milk Tea Puccho
The famous Bubble Tea has been transformed into a delicious chewy candy with pieces of tapioca gummies. It tastes just like the real thing – a milky sweet tea!
Kanro Orange & Tea Gummy
This new Limited Edition Spring packet from Kanro contains a mix of fresh orange and fragrant black tea gummies which contain Vitamin C and Collagen to help your skin glow. Practical and tasty :)
Puchi Kinako Wafers
Kinako is roasted soy bean flour and this unusual ingredient is used as a garnish on traditional sweets in Japan. This new flavour is sandwiched between mini layers of crunchy sweet wafers and it tastes kind of like roasted peanut butter to me – very moreish!
LOOK Matcha Choco
Straight from Kyoto, this new Matcha Choco from LOOK contains 12 pieces which features one side with a light matcha flavour and the other side with a stronger matcha taste. I’m a huge fan of green tea and matcha so this chocolate instantly appealed to me.
Watermelon Pukupuku Taiyaki
Here’s a new version of the much loved fish-shaped wafer in Japan which is one of the country’s most traditional snacks. This new flavour is bursting with a fresh and fruity Watermelon sensation which is quite interesting to savour!
Kabukiage Rice Crackers
A popular favourite throughout Japan, these Rice Crackers are crispy and fried with a sweet coating of soy sauce and a touch of spicy wasabi. They really hit the spot when you want something savoury as your snack choice.
Sour Apple Paper
Similar to sweets that you find in the corner shop here in the UK, this Sour Apple Paper is a yummy strip of tangy apple-flavoured gummy.
Onigiri Senbei
Senbei are one of Japan’s most popular and traditional rice cracker snacks and these ball-shaped crackers are flavoured with soy sauce and seaweed for a tasty afternoon snack.
Sugar Rusk Umaibo
With over 19 different flavours to enjoy, Umaibo has something for everyone and this month you can try their Sugar Rusk flavour which is reminiscent of the childhood classic corn puffs – yum!
Fushigi Fu-sen Gum
Another new product, fushigi means strange or quirky and fusen is a ballon so this packet of bubble gum features a quirky mix of three flavours (orange, apple and yoghurt) which when chewed together turn into soda flavour.
Calbee Sour Cream Thin Potato
New from Calbee, these extra thin potato crisps are made with 100% sunflower oil and are curled up to be super crunchy. They are seasoned with a Sour Cream and Chive flavour and go well with a cold beer.
Alfort Bitter Chocolate
Fans of dark chocolate will enjoy this packet of Alfort Bitter Chocolate – tiny biscuits topped with a bittersweet chocolate chunk. A nice treat after dinner.
Black Thunder Hojicha Latte
One of the best Japanese chocolate snacks, Black Thunder is now available in a creamy tea latte flavour – it’s interesting to try!
Butter Cream Roll Cake
How cute is this Butter Cream Roll Cake? Soft and sweet, it’s a snack loved by kids and it tastes much nicer than a Twinkie in my opinion.
