nomakenolife – nmnl Japanese and Korean Beauty – September 2021

Nomakenolife contains 8 – 9 items of cosmetic, hair, and skincare products from both Japan and Korea, two places which are very serious about their beauty products.

They have one-, three-, six-, and 12-month subscriptions costing from $35 (around £27) for one month (longer subscriptions are cheaper). Shipping is free.

This month’s design has is slightly different. Instead of the kawaii style so often featured, the cover of the menu booklet is a beautiful floral watercolour, which fits perfectly with the theme: Floral n’ Fabulous. As we’re still feeling quite summery, this is a lovely reminder of all the beautiful gardens and flowers that we can appreciate at this time of year!

The booklet contains descriptions and usage guides of all the items, as well as some fun bonus things.

Stardust Killer Stick Shadow, Kirei Factory Glitter Mascara, and Labiotte Flomance Lip Colour Shine.

These are three terrific items to make eyes and lips pop, with an extra splash of shine!

The glitter shadow is pink, and can be used on eyes or cheeks, or wherever you want to add some extra sparkle. The mascara is silver, and can be used either on its own or over your regular mascara.

The floral theme is a feature of the lip shine, with its beautiful rose shape, plus it contains flower oil to add hydration to the pink.

Eyebrow Shaper with Heart Mirror.

This gets its own guide to use in the menu booklet. It can be used to trim and to shape your eyebrows, either on the go or at home, and the mirror also acts as a safety guard. The booklet tells you exactly how to create the perfect eyebrow shape for your face.

Iroasobi 4-Colour Eye Palette and Tsuyuhada Foundation Brush.

This selection of four colours comes in contrasting but complementary shades, so you can choose a bold or subtle look, and they have a beautiful pearly finish which shines at any angle.

A brush is an excellent way to apply foundation. This one, which comes with a protective cover, has dense but soft hairs so the foundation doesn’t sink far into the brush but instead smooths perfectly onto the skin.

Hydrogel Glam Lip Mask and Nature Republic Read Nature Sheet Mask.

I’m a huge fan of lip masks, as it’s an area not covered by regular sheet masks. This one contains rose and honey extracts for superb moisturising especially for dry lips.

The sheet mask is also rose themed with natural extracts for maximum moisturization.
