Banjo Robinson the travelling cat is continuing his world travels, and his latest letter comes all the way from China!
Banjo’s letters arrive every two weeks, addressed personally to your child, and include little personal touches and details that make ti extra special. As always his letter is chatty and funny, and the paper itself is beautifully illustrated.
There are references to history, geography, and even the recipe card which is included with the goodies in the letter! You’ll get plenty of jumping-off points for further reading and discovery.
The letter uses a typeface that is easy to read, whether the child is reading it independently or if it is being shared.
You can also add a special personal PS from Banjo, which is a lovely way to comment directly on any little events that are going on in your child’s life or give them encouragement for particular efforts. Of course you can even use it to get Banjo to remind them to tidy their room!
Along with the letter you get a colouring sheet, a recipe card, and an illustrated map with extra trivia and activities, again in the same wonderful style.
You can even write back to Banjo! There’s a sheet of paper, envelope, and stickers included too, along with instructions for sending. And these letters are posted under the sofa, so parents can sneak them out and save them.
If your child isn’t feeling particularly inspired with writing, Banjo’s letter always includes prompts for their reply, and suggestions for drawings to send too. The writing paper is blank on the back for extra pictures. The space is just enough to write properly without being intimidatingly large, so even the most reluctant writer won’t have any problems finding enough to say!
