Continuing the travels of Banjo the cat!
A quick overview – Banjo is a cat who travels around the world, and writes a letter to your child every two weeks from his various destinations.
The idea is that your child then writes back, posting the letter under the sofa for the local neighborhood cat pal of Banjo to pick up and pass on.
It costs from £5.15 per month (two letters a month) for the full 12 month subscription, with slightly higher prices for shorter options.
Banjo is now in Greece!
As you can see the lovely decorate envelope has a sticker to tell you where he’s writing from.
His lovely chatty letter is a mixture of anecdote and a few fun facts about his destination.
He also asks questions, and offers prompts for the child’s letter back, which is very useful especially if children aren’t quite sure what to write.
You can also add your own personal PS! You’ll get an email before the next letter is sent out, and you have the opportunity to write a section yourself. This is great for more personalization, so you can mention things like recent achievements or experiences, and even make suggestions like keeping bedrooms tidy! I suspect kids are much more open to this kids of thing when it doesn’t come from parents.
Enclosed is the blank sheet for the return letter, plus an envelope.
There’s enough space to write a decent amount, but not so much a child would feel pressured. On the back is space for a picture or two, and again, Banjos letter provides some inspiration.
Also included is a sheet of fun personalised stickers! Some are stamps for your child’s letter, plus there is a location stamp for your map (in the introductory pack) plus a paw print sticker.
See the paw prints and country stickers?
And finally, a little colouring sheet. The drawings are all references from the letter, and are charming and fun to colour. Because they’re quite small but with lots of detail they’re even good for kids who aren’t that crazy about colouring.
