Birchbox had a serious makeover this month and became a Birchbag! The Birchbag, which is made out of scuba material to follow this month’s theme, Dive In, came in four different colourways (Blue Fin, Yellowtail, Coral Reef and Pink Pufferfish) and I received Coral Reef which was a rather lovely neon orange. I will 100% be reusing this as my future travel or cosmetics bag. It’s not a huge size but it is impressively roomy inside so you’ll definitely be able to fit all your beauty essentials.
The Birchbag vibe and all its contents screams summer holiday which I absolutely love! Here is a rundown of what is inside:
Philip Kingsley – One More Day Dry Shampoo
I am the queen of dry shampoo, it is my desert island essential! Although I still prefer my Batiste this is still a good alternative. It successfully manages to absorb excess oil instantly with no horrible dandruff looking residue. I’m also loving this perfect handbag sized can.
Balance Me – Radiance Face Mask
This clay based mask is a real multitasker. It cleanses, exfoliates and brightens to boost luminosity in a matter of minutes. One thing I really like about this mask is you only need to leave it on for a maximum of 5 minutes. Sometimes when you need that pick me up but you’re super tired or short on time the last thing you think about doing is a facemask but with this it is easy, quick and effective.
Anatomicals – The Buff Studd Citrus Body Scrub
This is my favourite product from this month’s beauty box (bag!). It smells absolutely delicious! It’s described as a citrus scent but personally I think it smells more like sweeties, possibly sherbet lemons?! I like using this in the morning, as part of my pre-tanning ritual as it’s super revitalising!
English Laundry – Signature For Her Eau de Parfum
This is the “a little extra” gift for this month. If you like your pretty, floral scents you’ll love this. It is absolutely perfect for summer. It has top notes of rose geranium and white blooms with musk notes and hint of spice. A perfect day-to-evening scent.
Marcelle – Waterproof Eyeliner in Mulberry
I’m a big fan of eyeliner that isn’t boring ol’ black! This smudged along your bottom lash line is perfection. Despite not being a colour I would usually go for I’m totally converted! It is also waterproof, so feel free to watch a soppy movie or use it on your humid summer holiday with no fear.
Merci Handy – Antibacterial Hand Cleansing Gel
I love these mini hand sanitisers and I already keep one in every handbag. I’m a firm believer you can never have too many! When you’re on and off the tube all day and running around central London all day these are perfect. I was very happy to receive the pink version which smells lovely. It’s also packed with vitamins to hydrate and nourish your hands.
