Can someone explain to me how we are half way through the month of February already! My skin is crying our for help thanks to the rubbish weather we’re having here in the North of England so when I opened up this months Birchbox I was so happy to find this little gem looking up at me. The Ayres Body Butter in Patagonia. It’s not like your regular body butter that you just slather all over your body and hope for the best – it smells and feels amazing and I’m definitely going to be picking up the full sized pot once I run out of this one! (RRP £19.50)
The next thing that caught my eye was the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum. Now serums are something I’ve always been a bit apprehensive about, as I still can’t get my head around putting something oily onto already not so great skin – to make it better.. But this works amazingly! I’ve not noticed a huge difference in my skin since I’ve been using it, but teamed with my current favourite moisturiser at the start of the day, it definitely makes me feel more awake in the mornings! (RRP £47.00)
Still on the theme of face related things, I spotted the Balm cosmetics blusher in the shade Frat Boy. Now I wasn’t overwhelmed by the size of this product, as although it was a sample it wasn’t big enough for me to get my brush in and properly try it out. It’s safe to say I wasn’t about to use my fingers and end up like a pink Zebra so for now it sits on my dressing table waiting patiently for me to find a tiny brush to use! (RRP £15.50)
Next up, is the Spectrum Collection powder brush. Now I’m not an avid powder user, however one thing I am crazy for is contouring! I think the brush will be perfect for that light dusting under the cheekbones, yet I haven’t used it yet so stay tuned for a full review! (RRP £7.99)
And finally – the LOC One and Done show stick (RRP £8.00) Bircbox’s first in house make up brand and they’ve totally hit the nail on the head! The colour pay off is fantastic and they really do last all day. I can’t wait to get my hands on a couple more shades in the near future.. (Payday hurry up please!)
Let me know your thoughts on this months Birchbox if you’ve received it too, and as always head over to the All Subscription Boxes Facebook page and give it a like!
