It’s always a good time of the month when the new Birchbox arrives! May’s theme is called ‘Palm Leaves & Warm Breeze‘, and features a lovely tropical print box with five mini summer-friendly beauty products inside. Let’s jump straight in and take a closer look at these beauty treats!
Doucce Luscious Lip Stain in Amber Rose (mini size, full size retails for £21)
How cute is this mini Lip Stain from Doucce? Subscribers will receive one of two colours this month, Steaming Red or Amber Rose and I was very happy to get the latter as my makeup drawer is bursting full of reds! This shade is a gorgeous pink for Summer and has a great liquid formula which dries to a long-lasting matte stain. Ideal for when the weather starts to warm up again!
Greenfrog Botanic Relaxing Geranium & Peppermint Body Wash (50ml travel size, full size retails for £8.95)
Next up, there’s a travel size bottle of Greenfrog Botanical Body Wash in the wonderfully relaxing scent of Geranium and Peppermint. I’ve used this before and it’s SO good. Cruelty-free, vegan-friendly and free from chemical nasties, this all-natural body wash is gentle on the sensitive skin and can be used by those who have eczema and psoriasis.
Native Unearthed Activated Charcoal Natural Deodorant Balm (travel size, full size retails for £7.99)
Another green beauty product, this time from Native Unearthed and it’s an interesting Natural Deodorant Balm. I’ve tried similar products to this in the past where it’s basically a solid cream deodorant, and you scoop out a little to rub it in the underarm area. Contains antibacterial Coconut Oil, sweat-absorbing Arrowroot and soothing Shea Butter.
Nuxe Aquabella Micro-Exfoliating Purifying Gel (15ml travel size, full size retails for £12)
Nuxe are one of my favourite skincare brands so I always get excited when I see products from them in the beauty boxes. This is a travel size of their Aquabella Micro-Exfoliating Purifying Gel which sloughs away impurities and deep cleanses your pores, without leaving your skin feeling stripped or dry. Can’t wait to try it!
Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Black (mini size, full size retails for £16)
This mini Skinny Liquid Eyeliner is one of Eyeko’s bestsellers and it really does a fantastic job! Very easy to use, you can create effortless winged looks and cat-eyed flicks in a flash. The liner is nicely pigmented, doesn’t fade or smudge, and lasts throughout the day – what more could you ask for?
