Blob Box is an amazing monthly subscription box for menstruating women as it combines all of your essential period care products with some awesome beauty and lifestyle goodies!
Each box is worth £50, and your subscription can be skipped or cancelled at any time so there’s no stress. It’s just £14.99 for your first box then £24.99 per month including free delivery.
April’s box is themed Eco You to tie in with Earth Day and contains all of the following products.
Period Care essentials
The first box (within the box!) is, of course, the period care essentials, and here, Blob Box ensures that you are completely covered. When you sign up, you can specify what you’d like to receive. For my box, I received 7 x Day Pads, 7 x Night Pads and 5 x Panty Liners and these are all from the eco brand Here We Flo. I really like these as they are made from 100% sustainable organic bamboo and all of the wrappers are compostable/biodegradable.
Dr Vegan PMS Hero Supplements (RRP £14.99) and Travel Tin (RRP £7)
Moving onto the beauty and lifestyle products in the box, I was happy to see these interesting PMS Hero supplements from Dr Vegan. Made with carefully chosen botanicals, minerals and vitamins, they provide nutritional premenstrual support to help relieve common PMS symptoms such bloating, breast tenderness and mood swings. I also love the handy tin.
Comfort Zone Essential Mascara (RRP £22)
For a makeup treat, I found a luxury full-size mascara from Comfort Zone. Enriched with emollient vegetal oils, it adds definition without any stiffness on the lashes, for a natural look, plus the castor oil helps your lashes to grow!
Object Nourishing Hair Conditioner Bar (RRP £12)
There are so many amazing plastic-free beauty products out there these days, that it’s so easy to reduce the amount of plastic bottles that are in your bathroom. Take it one step further with this lovely Nourishing Hair Conditioner Bar from Object. Full of the best natural ingredients such as Macadamia Oil, Moringa, Argan Oil and Shea Butter, it’s scented with essential oils and keeps hair soft and healthy.
Chika’s Lightly Salted Plantain Crisps (RRP £1.75)
I haven’t tried plantain crisps before, but these are definitely a new favorite of mine! Made by thinly slicing and then shallow frying pieces of plantain, these crisps are crunchy and very satisfying, with a light sprinkling of salt. Yum!
Tea Pigs Happy Tea (sample)
The last product is a sample of Tea Pigs Happy Tea which is a Great Taste Award winner. It contains mood-boosting Lemon Balm and anti-inflammatory Turmeric, so it’s perfect for your luteal phase.
