It’s no secret that I have become rather fond of the box of loveliness through your letterbox that is Boxcitement. I’ve reviewed a few of their boxes now and I have really enjoyed seeing what they have included, as well as what the theme is each month. In some ways that might be a bad thing as my expectations have been set at a certain level. Luckily I really liked the latest box, and have already been putting parts of this to good use.
What’s in the box?
I love the fact that opening the box itself is a real treat. They come beautifully packaged and I love the little note, confetti and sticker holding it all together. In this month’s box there was:
- A folding shopping bag
- A porcelain owl pendant
- A foxy earphone tidy
- A set of Scandi-inspired notecards
- Some Scandi-esque gift wrap
- A set of paper straws
- And a silver Lagom pin badge.
I was a little bit disappointed to not have the mini booklet that came in last month’s box, giving a bit of insight into what was in the box itself and why, but this is a minor point really.
The highlights
My standout favourite from this box was the earphone tidy. Partly because I am awful at keeping my earphones in any kind of working order, and partly because I am a fan of foxes. When I opened the little grey pouch these came in they really brought a smile to my face. They have been so helpful this week and I now no longer have a tangle of wires at the bottom of my bag!
I also really liked the shopping bag which as you can see from the main photo, looks a bit like a wallet, but when you unzip it, it opens up as a handy tote bag.
I’ve already been using this and it’s working well – despite its size it carries a lot and looks great considering I have a lot of navy in my wardrobe!
Usually whilst I like the stationery in the boxes it’s not usually one of my favourite things, however I really loved the notecards in this box. I’ve already sent two out!
I am also a big fan of the straws in this box. With the recent media coverage on the ban on plastic straws as well as more focus on reducing plastic I felt like these were a really clever addition. I plan to pop them in my bag and use them when I’m out and about.
This was a really fun box to receive and I am pleased that I’ve already found practical uses for so many of the treats. I think that there is a risk with these kind of boxes that you end up with a drawer of things you don’t need or use but I’ve found that everything in this box will definitely be used. Well done team Boxcitement!
