Boxcitement subscription boxes just keep on getting better and better. This month’s theme is Spring Fling and the time to sew, grow and sew. As you might be able to guess from the title, it’s all about growing things and sewing things with the usual well-thought out surprises and stationery.
This month’s stationery is my favourite of all of the boxes I have received. I love the fox, floral and fern design, it’s so modern and fresh. There is a pack of four beautiful thank you cards with kraft paper envelopes with a pretty double fox design. Inside the cards is the fun floral and fern pattern which makes them extra special. I’ve already used one and they’re a great addition to my emergency card stash.
Staying on the stationery theme, my favourite item from this month’s box is the notebook in the same design. The pages are lightly spotted so it would be great for drawing or your notes and there’s a cute section on the inside of the cover to write your name. There’s a length of red and white baker’s twine wrapped around a card too for some stylish gift wrapping.
With spring very much here and the title of the box being ‘Spring Fling’, the mini gardening kit gift is absolutely perfect. There’s a pair of neon yellow gardening gloves to keep your green fingers dirt free, some wooden plant markers with a sweet rose stamp on the end and a bag of wildflower seeds. The instructions in the box say to just sprinkle, rake over and water for a colourful summer. I can’t wait to try this with my son and see how the flowers grow over the coming months.
Moving over to the ‘Sew’ angle of the box from the ‘Sow’ angle, there’s a set of six cute blue buttons which will undoubtedly come in handy in a craft project I’ve not even thought of yet. The buttons are of a good quality and come presented in a sweet small blue envelope.
Speaking of craft projects, there’s one included in the box. If you’re interested in paper craft then this is perfect for you, as it’s a make-your-own flower with the template printed on some very pretty double-sided paper.
The instructions to make the paper flower can be found in the Boxcitement Spring Crafting newsletter, or alternatively they can email them to you, as they’re nice like that.
Finally, the last item in the box is a piece of jewellery and this month it’s a necklace. The beaded tassel necklace comes on a long cord and is great for the spring and warmer months of the summer. In keeping with the spring and new life theme of this month’s box, there’s a flower design on the bead and the necklace is presented in its own natural gift bag.
I’ve got to admit that the necklace isn’t suited to my personal style but it would make a lovely gift or a great addition to a child’s dressing up box.
In conclusion, again I really enjoyed unwrapping and discovering the contents of this month’s Boxcitement box. The themes are always so well thought out and I think this month’s theme was especially good, and the stationery is the best yet.
