The December box from Boxcitement arrived the week before Christmas which was such perfect timing. They usually arrive the week after so it was a real treat to get this earlier than I had expected. With the madness of Christmas and New Year and sorting out presents for other people its really rather lovely to get something pop through your letterbox that’s all just for you.
One of these days I am going to open my Boxcitement box carefully and gently so I don’t end up ripping the box, but to be honest, I end up doing this every time because I am so excited to see what is inside! I always love how neatly they manage to pack everything in, like a wonderful game of treat tetris!
What was inside the December box?
- A mini hard cover notebook
- An ergonomic wooden pen
- A set of four cute creature pin badges
- A cute silver charm bracelet
- A wooden mountain-scape jewellery hanger
- A snowflake guest soap that smells of sugar-plum
- A winter crystal bauble keyring
- A mini 2019 wall calendar.
The highlights
I absolutely loved the jewellery hanger. For a few minutes I actually thought it was a statement necklace, and if you have some pliers and some spare silver chain you could easily turn this into a necklace itself. I am tempted to do so, but actually I plan to overhaul my jewellery storage this year and I will definitely be able to make use of this. If you were to buy this on the high street I think you’d pay around £6-£8 for it so it’s a really good value item and I was really happy to receive it.
I also really loved the notebook that came in this box. It’s hard to tell from the photo but it feels like the book is suede or leather bound and it looks really high quality. You would spend more than £5 to buy this so just with these two items alone you’ve already got more than half of the value of the cost of the box itself. The pen that comes with the book is lovely too. I put them both straight into my bag and have been using them to make a note of thank you’s and last minute address updates!
I also really liked the charm bracelet that came in this month’s box. It’s very subtle and delicate and would make for a great every day addition to your wardrobe. The bag that it came in was also really good quality. The team at Boxcitement have done a fab job in putting together an affordable and treat-worthy selection of goodies.
