The team at Boxcitement don’t usually do a specifically Christmas themed box but felt that given how ‘different’ 2020 had been, they’d do something different too. And I really loved the range of gifts in the box. There was definitely something for everyone.
What was in the box?
- A bright 2021 wall calendar
- Two rattan star tree decorations
- A worry bead necklace to help manage anxiety
- A bright yellow pen
- A set of thank you notelets
- A pair of stud earrings
- A mini perfume atomiser
- And a candy cane treat!
The highlights:
It’s very rare that my husband will comment on my Boxcitement goodies but even he noted how lovely this pen is and how bright and cheerful it looks. It also feels really nice to write with and having a lovely pen along with the notelets was a really great addition; now I just need to write all the thank you notes!
I really liked the style of these; bright and optimistic but still with a Scandi-chic feel to them. The world still feels like it’s in chaos so the opportunity to take sometime to just write a couple of nice notes to friends and family is a welcome treat.
Not one but two jewellery surprises!
I’m always a big fan of the jewellery items from Boxcitement, and this box did not disappoint. I really like the tactile nature of these worry beads and have worn them quite a lot already. They all come off the long chain so if you prefer to just wear one or two on there you can do. I’ve found them really handy when I’m on work calls and need to keep my mind focused.
These cute little studs were in the box this month too. I am not a huge stud fan as I prefer to wear earrings that hang down but I really like the simplicity of these. I was ever so slightly annoyed that the oval on the one with the yellow flower was off centre but that’s me being really picky. These are the perfect earrings for spring.
Probably my favourite part of the box this month was the star decoration set. It’s handy because our tree theme is red and white but I think I would have definitely found a use for these no mater what. They are really cute and pretty and despite just being made from rattan wood they seem really stable and hard wearing. I really like the addition of the purple ribbon and the silver star charms too.
A delicious sweet treat!
Who doesn’t love a sweet little candy cane treat?! We used ours to break into little pieces that we sprinkled over some melted chocolate we set out in a baking tray on some cling film to make some festive Christmas ‘bark’. We gave this to my son’s school as a present for the teachers and it went down really well. It was yummy too!
The atomiser was a lovely surprise and something I don’t tend to think of much but are SO handy! Not that I go anywhere at the moment but when we are able to ‘roam free’ again in the world I can’t wait to have my favourite perfume on hand. In fact I often layer my perfumes so I am thinking of seeing if I can add more than one fragrance to this to see if they still layer in the same way. Probably not and it will be an almighty fail but at least I will know! This is a really nice high quality item and once I will definitely make use of.
Last but by no means least is this lovely little calendar. I love the bring colours and the positive messages in this and its already hanging in my work/crafting space to give me the guidance and motivation I need to get through 2021.
