The July box from the team at Boxcitement is all about embracing the summer sunshine. I also really liked the subtle nods to lockdown and the inclusion of lots of really useful, as well as beautiful, items.
What was in the box?
- A summery enamel bracelet
- Fun flamingo greetings card and envelope
- Summer scrapbook and pen
- Sunshine inspired ‘touch-free’ keyring
- Lockdown memories multi-purpose fridge magnet
- Fun summer silicone purse
- Set of emergency hair ties with charms.
Colourful coral bracelet for those summer nights
I absolutely adore this bracelet. Its a lovely colour, and it came packaged in this fab little gold pouch. I had a very slight issue with mine in that it was actually a tiny bit big, but I’ve not scored down for this. The reason being that I have quite large wrists so this never happens and was actually almost pleasant, but also because I can easily fix it myself. I also contacted the team at Boxcitement who confirmed they’d be happy to swap it out for me and I know how great their customer service is so I’ve just let them know I will alter it myself.
Touch-free keyring
I love how timely this is and it’s already in my handbag! I hadn’t realised until lockdown eased and I started going out a bit more just how often I unnecessarily touch things. This will come in very handy as I do more and more and I think it was a lovely way to acknowledge the ‘new normal’ world we are in without being too obvious.
Hair today…
These arrived the day after I had my first haircut in NINE months! Eeek. It’s still long enough to tie back and I definitely still need to do that regularly, given how curly my hair now is. These are such great vibrant colours and I love the little charms there are too. As with the previous item, I like that this is definitely a ‘lockdown box’ without being overtly so.
Memory magnet
This fridge magnet is definitely my favourite item in the box. You pop out the rainbow which is a beautiful magnet in itself and then use the frame like a Polaroid to share your own special lockdown memories. We’re going to use ours to frame a photo we took when we went to the Secret Cinema at Goodwood to watch Star Wars. In full costumes!
Sunny money!
When we go to the beach or on holiday (oh how I long for a holiday), I often struggle to use a smaller purse as I am so used to my big chunky one I use everyday. This is a great alternative; you definitely won’t lose it! I’m going to set this aside so I can use it at the next chance I get.
Capturing the memories
One day we’ll look back on 2020 somewhat fondly, and when we do it will be great to discuss our memories. I’m going to use this fun summer themed scrapbook and pen to write down everything we’ve done since mid-March so that we don’t forget.
Fancy Flamingo!
I’ve got a few birthdays coming in August so I already know who will be receiving this card. I love the summer holiday theme and I am sure it will make the recipient smile. Just like the July box made me smile too.
