The day my Boxcitement subscription box drops on the doormat is always a good day as I know I’m going to be receiving some gorgeous things.
This month’s box had the theme of Midsummer Nights and was a little ray of sunshine in what has been a bit of a damp squib of a summer so far. I’m pretty sure I say it every month, but the themes and content of these boxes just keep getting better. Everything is so well thought out and linked to the theme with items you will actually use and pretty things to display and keep. In the past I’ve signed up for subscription boxes then cancelled them as the lifestyle items just aren’t that useful or up to scratch. Not with Boxcitement.
So what’s in the latest box? Well, if I say I struggled to get a photo with everything in shot then you’ll get an idea of just how much stuff you get. But where to start? I’m going to go for my favourite thing of the month, this beautiful gold screen printed lunch bag.
A soft mini canvas tote with a glittering gold design that says ‘Lunch in the Sun’ printed on it, this is perfect for taking your food outside on the rare days when we actually get some sun this summer! In the meantime I’m using it to carry round the lovely stationery items that are also in his month’s box.
I’ve seen lots of examples of pencils with slogans on during my scrolling through Instagram and now I own some myself thanks to this box. I love them and not only are they practical, but if like me you like taking a pretty still life picture for Instagram, they make a fab prop!
There’s also a Dream Catcher plain notebook in the box, which is really high quality (think Moleskine but prettier) which has been well thought out and printed front and back. If you’re feeling a bit more artistic or even a bit stressed out then there’s a mindfulness colouring sheet too which features a beautiful design of some sunflowers.
Another thing I have been using or should I say wearing a lot is the leather bracelet that came in the box. I love bracelets and bangles and this one looks gorgeous for summer. I’ve only got one minor quibble about it and that is that the lovely rose gold colouring of the beads seemed to rub off after a few wears but it’s still very pretty.
Back to stationery (yes we’ve still got a few things to cover!) and there is a set of four postcards which come in their own brown craft envelope. I love things like this and they are so handy to have in the house for an emergency situation! Likewise for the gold and silver ribbon for present wrapping. You can never have enough ribbon I don’t think.
The other lifestyle gift this month is this sweet little stamped clay decoration. I’ve put this in my baby’s nursery window as it’s so positive and I love the bright pop of yellow.
So there you go, another box packed to the rafters with loveliness from the clever people at Boxcitement. I’m really looking forward to what drops through my letterbox next month already.
