Given the glorious weather we’re having it was lovely to wake up on Saturday to find this wondrous box of delights on the doormat. From the summery pastel colours to the range of products inside, it really was a treat to open and I loved looking through to see what was inside. The only downside was that I had the fan blowing when I opened the box, and if you’ve had a Boxcitement box before you’ll know that one of the perks is the on-theme confetti you get every month….lets just say I am still finding it all over the place!
What’s in the box?
- A sweet treat ice cream wooden necklace on a gold effect chain
- A sandwich bag (to protect your sandwich from seagulls maybe!)
- A fab fish and chips enamel pin
- A set of seaside themed notecard, four different designs
- A protective ‘mwah!’ lip balm
- A ceramic hanging fish decoration
- A summer party fun planner
The highlights
Fish n chips!
I really loved the enamel pin. It’s quirky enough to make you smile without being too unusual. I’ve already pinned it to my jacket although it will be a little while before it is cold enough to wear it! It did really make me want to get some fish and chips though…!
Stunning fish decoration
I also really liked the ceramic fish, we have a blue bathroom so this has already been hung up in there and makes me smile every time I see it. It would also make a really lovely gift for someone, which is what I really like about these boxes. You could gift a few of the items and the recipient would love them as the quality is always great.
Getting lippy
I was blown away by the quality of the lip balm. I thought that it would be quite basic but it was really soothing. At the moment I’m suffering with dry lips and have only found one lip balm that will actually help it, and this is just as good. It doesn’t look like much but don’t let appearances deceive you. You would pay £7 for this kind of quality alone so I definitely think that for this reason this box is a complete bargain.
Lunchtime loveliness
As you can see, pretty much everything in this box was a hit, but I really liked the practicality of the sandwich bag. Whilst I don’t work by the sea (one day, one day!) I am lucky enough not to work in the big city so I can get a few minutes to nip out for lunch and then sit in the park or by the river. I’m currently living on salads but when it gets a bit cooler #i will definitely be using this to take out at lunchtime. Much more environmentally friendly than a plastic bag.
One improvement
I am a huge jewellery fan (some might say fiend!) which is why I think the necklace in this box is really lovely…however the only problem is that it is hung on quite a short chain. The only way I can wear this how I would like to is to take it off and put on another chain, or make myself and extender chain. I’ll probably do the latter as I do really want to wear it…however it would have been nice for the makers to have just added one themselves so that people can choose if they want to wear it shorter, or a little longer.
