I’m always keen to see what theme the team at Boxcitement will come up with each month. They manage to be topical (in this case the long weekend and the bank holiday weekend, or if you’re a parent the half term break!) but still with their own unique take on it. This month was no exception, and once again the team have put together a cracking box for their subscribers.
What’s in the box?
- A handy spaghetti measure
- A pair of rainy day earrings
- A shopping pad to make a note of all those weekend essentials
- A do not disturb/please come join me door hanger
- A tassel charm to add zing to your overnight bag
- A solid shampoo bar
- An eco-friendly bamboo travel toothbrush
- A retro fridge magnet
The highlights
As it happened, the box arrived the day before we had a long weekend planned! I popped this on to my handbag as soon as I opened it as I really liked it, and my six year old son told me that with the charm on my bag I “looked like one of those cool ladies” so that was obviously something! It survived a few days of adventures at various Merlin attractions, and still looks as good as new so I have been really impressed. It’s a definite fixture on my bag now.
At first glance this seems like a rather odd addition, but I really love it. I am utterly useless at portioning both spaghetti and peas so at least I’m now 50% improved! I’ve hung ours up in the kitchen and it’s already proven handy. I’m not sure I’d pack it for a trip away but it will definitely be getting a lot of use in our house!
I haven’t had a chance to use this yet but I think it’s a fantastic addition to the box. It smells lovely and it’s definitely going in my overnight bag, along with the fantastic toothbrush, the rainbow shades really put a smile on my face!
Last but not least…
I love jewellery and am a big fan of the quirky pieces that come in most Boxcitement boxes. These rainy day earrings are a great addition to my collection and I plan to wear them often.
