Cheeseposties are hands down one of the tastiest foodie subscription boxes around, and if you’re a fan of cheese, well, you’ll love Cheeseposties! This innovative company has a great sense of humour that matches well with their fun and delicious creations. But if you’re wondering what actually is a ‘cheesepostie’, it’s exactly what you might think it is; a deconstructed, gourmet, cheese toastie, sent in the post to your home or workplace. All of the ingredients are provided, and all you need to do is assemble, toast and eat it!
Whilst each Cheesepostie that’s sent is a surprise flavour from their online cheeseboard, you can customise your subscription by telling them about any ingredients that you don’t like, whether you’d like nuts or not, how often you’d like to have one delivered, and whether you’re a vegetarian or not. You can also choose whether you want a Sweet, Savoury, or a Bit of Both subscription – I highly recommend the latter as you get the best of both worlds ;)
This month I received the Italian Stallion, which sounded absolutely amazing on the fun, collectable Toast Trumps card that comes with it.
Regardless of what flavour you’re sent, your Cheesepostie will arrive in a letterbox friendly box via 1st Class Royal Mail, so that the ingredients are as fresh as possible. As you can see, everything is sectioned off into its own area to keep things nice and separated during transit. The plastic film on the pots are incredibly strong (I always have to use a knife to open them up!), so everything always arrives in perfect condition as you can see above.
For the Italian Stallion Cheese Postie, I received the following ingredients:-
- Two slices of White Bread
- Two mini packs of Kerrygold Butter
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Tomato Sauce
- Pesto
Time to assemble! I decided to spread one half with the Tomato Sauce, and the other half with the Pesto, and topped each side with two slices of Mozzarella cheese like so! I always make my Cheeseposties in a frying pan as it gives the bread a gorgeous brown colour and toasts it just the way that I like it, but you can use the enclosed toasting bag in your toaster if you prefer.
As expected, the Mozzarella cheese melted incredibly well with lots of satisfying stretchy goodness going on. The combination of Tomato Sauce and Pesto with the Mozzarella worked perfectly as I expected it would, for a deeply delicious cheese toastie experience. The bread, as always, was top quality and held everything together well. So yummy!
