In the mood for something cheesy? How about something sweet? Why not combine the two?! Cheeseposties never fail to surprise me with their quirky flavour combinations and if you’re the adventurous foodie type or are simply looking for something new and different to try out, Cheeseposties is one of the most fun (and tasty) subscription boxes to sign up to.
Depending on how often you’d like to have them delivered, Cheeseposties will send you a deconstructed gourmet cheese toastie straight to your door every week, fortnight or month, for you to assemble and devour in the comfort of your own home or workplace. The flavours are always a surprise, but if there’s a certain ingredient that you don’t like, just tell them and they’ll make sure that you’ll never receive it. Same goes if you’re a vegetarian or can’t have nuts – they’re very accommodating and with new flavours being updated to the online cheeseboard, you’re guaranteed to receive something yummy every time.
This month I received the White Choc Bomb flavour which is a great example of the kinds of flavours you can come to expect from Cheeseposties – I told you they were quirky!
Your Cheesepostie arrives in a letterbox friendly box and as you can see, all of the ingredients are separated into their own compartments, with strong seals to prevent any accidents or spillages whilst the box is en route. They are always dispatched via 1st Class Royal Mail to ensure optimum freshness and the quality of the ingredients is of a high standard.
For the White Choc Bomb Cheese Postie, I received the following ingredients:-
- Two slices of White Bread
- Two mini packs of Kerrygold Butter
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Raspberry Jam
- White Chocolate Buttons
To make it, I simply buttered each side and spread all of the Raspberry Jam on one half, topped it off with the White Chocolate Buttons and placed the slices of Mozzarella cheese on the other side. I then popped it into the frying pan, turning it over a few times to get a nice even toasting going on. You can of course, use the provided toasting bag and place it in your toaster instead, or if you’re fancy, use a toastie sandwich maker. Either way, it’s going to taste amazing!
And here’s the result – a White Choc Bomb Cheese Postie! As expected, the Mozarella melted beautifully, fusing together with the melted White Chocolate buttons and the Raspberry Jam. The flavours all complimented each other, with the sugary sweetness of the White Chocolate working well with the fruitiness of the Raspberry Jam and the subtleness of the Mozarella. Yum!
