If you’re a fan of luxury makeup and prefer to find higher-end brands in your beauty boxes, Cohorted is definitely one to check out. At £35 per month, they’re a lot more expensive than most other beauty boxes on the market, but the value for money is truly exceptional, and the luxury brands that they work with are really exciting as previous boxes have included the likes of NARS, Lancome, Bobbi Brown, Chanel and The Balm to name but a few.

This month, Cohorted have collaborated with the luxury New York based makeup brand, Doucce, for an exclusive beauty discovery box which has a combined value of £146 – wow! All of the products inside are full-sized too, so this really is a make-up fan’s dream!

The box itself is beautifully presented in a sleek black design which is fastened with a silky black ribbon. I couldn’t wait to see the contents, so let’s jump right in.

On the top, I found a brochure which provides full details about all of the products and gives an interesting overview about the brand Doucce.

Doucce Limited Edition Freematic Combo Pro Palette (RRP £50)

The star of this month’s box is without a doubt the Freematic Combo Pro Palette which is a Limited Edition colourway made just for Cohorted subscribers, so you won’t find this anywhere else. The packaging is simply stunning and inside are a range of products; there’s a highlighter, two shades of blusher and four shades of eyeshadow. The palette has been specially curated to give you the right amount of matte and shimmer finishes and everything goes with each other for the perfect final look. I really love how this palette is fully customisable as each pan can be taken out and replaced with another product from Doucce’s Freematic range – how cool is that? It’s also worth £50!

Doucce Matte Temptation Lipstick in First Date (RRP £18)

I love nude pink lipsticks so naturally, when I saw this I instantly fell in love. The packaging is beautiful and mirrored with a satisfying ‘click’ when you close it, so you can rest assure that the top will never randomly come off in your handbag (a sure sign of a luxury product!). This lipstick has a rich and creamy texture and allows you to achieve a full level of coverage in just one swipe, plus the pure matte finish looks amazing. Very happy with this!

Doucce Lip Definer Pencil in Lyra (RRP £15)

To match the lipstick, there’s a Lip Definer Pencil in Lyra which is a perfect nude pink shade. It’s richly pigmented and glides on smoothly, without any dragging issues. I found this lip liner very easy to use and you can also use it to slightly overdraw the lips for a bigger and fuller pout if desired. It works with the lipstick above incredibly well.

Doucce Fierce & Fine Graphic Eyeliner Pen (RRP £16)

Moving onto eyes, there is a wicked Fierce & Fine Graphic Eyeliner Pen which is deeply pigmented and has a waterproof formula (a must-have for me during hayfever season!). Like the lip liner, it also glides on smoothly and once dry, it’s doesn’t smudge, flake or fade. I’m really impressed with this and the tip is so fine that you can create a range of different eyeliner looks from a cat-eye to just a thin line for some added definition.

Doucce Maxlash Volumizer Mascara (RRP £17)

Next up, I found a mascara. Named the Maxlash Volumizer, this mascara has an oversized XL brush made from fine fiber based bristles to coat each and every lash. This creates big, volumised lashes, so if that’s the look you like, you’ll love this! It applies easily and doesn’t clump, plus it doesn’t flake or smudge either and is sweat /humidity resistant, which means it ticks a lot of boxes for me. The perfect mascara for the Summer months!

Doucce Brow Filler Pencil in Ash Brown (RRP £17)

Finally, the last product is a Brow Filler Pencil in the shade Ash Brown. Unfortunately, this colour is too light for me so I haven’t been able to try it out myself, but I have given it to a friend who has mousey-blonde hair, and it’s ideal for her colouring, so she really likes it! I’ll definitely be looking into a dark brown shade of this for myself in the near future.
