Cozy Candles supplies a monthly box of delicious-smelling wax melts. They’ve changed up their subscription service a little, and now you get four large (110g each) melts for £15.00 per month. These work out at around 400 hours of fragrance in each box.
They’ve changed up their packaging too! Instead of the previous flat box, you now get this more sturdy and compact box. It now doesn’t require any mailing bag, is a much better shape for reuse and uses less cardboard than the flat boxes, so it’s also better for the environment! The bright yellow tissue is the same, but now the sticker is a vibrant pink, very cheerful, and goes beautifully with the yellow tissue.
The menu card is also smaller. It’s still got all the information you need on it, but the compact size and lovely graphics are a definite step up!
The four impressively large melts are stacked, and there’s some very attractive paper padding as well, which again is recyclable.
This month’s scents are Sage & Sea Salt, Blackberry & Bay, Peppercorn & Raspberry, and Wild Bluebell.
The melts are around 10cm wide and 3cm high, really rather large! Unless you have the most enormous melter, these need to be divided into smaller pieces. An advantage of this is that you can experiment with mixing scents, if you like, as well as control how much you use at a time.
This month’s scents are a really lovely selection, all contrasting.
The Wild Bluebell has a lovely floral scent with a hint of sweetness. Sage & Sea Salt and Blueberry & Bay have wonderful herbal notes, and and are not overwhelmingly sweet. The Raspberry & Peppercorn is by far the most fruity, but the peppercorn stops it from being sickly.
My favourite is the Sage and Sea Salt, as I love the slightly earthy scent of the sage.
I really like how Cosy Candles has freshened up their look! From the compact box to the larger melts, I think it all looks much more polished, especially the menu redesign.
The melts themselves are delicious, very highly scented and they really last a long time! The combinations of scents are really interesting, and I love the overall variety. I also prefer having fewer scents but larger melts.
The only thing I want them to do now is a scented candle subscription!
