Each month features a different Gin, and for April, they’ve teamed up with Manchester Gin which is very exciting for me as Manchester is one of my favourite cities in the UK, and somewhere that’s always felt like home whenever I visit.

Firstly though, I wanted to share a couple of snaps from the GINNED! Magazine which is a brilliant read and is packed full of interesting articles with a special spread on the makers of Manchester Gin, plus lots of classic and innovative cocktail recipes to enjoy.

Let’s have a look at this month’s Craft Gin Club contents, shall we?

Manchester Gin Distillers Cut (500ml, 43%)

Specially developed just for Craft Gin Club, Manchester Gin’s Distillers Cut has been created as a celebration of the company’s progression over the last two years. It comes presented in a beautiful bottle which has a crystal cut design embossed on it, and the Gin itself is 43% volume. Taste-wise, Manchester Gin have retained their signature Dandelion and Burdock twist and blended this with Elderberries and Vanilla, which results in a completely unique flavour. It has a fresh Pine and Lemon aroma with hints of Vanilla yet is much more fruity and sweet on the tongue, with a light, peppery and smooth finish. Delicious!

Manchester Gin Raspberry Infused (200ml, 40%)

Wait a minute, what’s this? MORE Gin?! Craft Gin Club are really spoiling us this month with a second bottle of Gin! This one is 200ml sized and is Manchester Gin’s Raspberry Infused speciality. The first that you’ll notice, other than the beautiful pink colour in the bottle, is that this isn’t a gin liqueur – it’s a properly infused Gin which retains its mighty 40% vol! It tastes as it good as it looks too!

Schweppes 1783 Premium Tonics; Light Tonic Water, Cucumber Tonic Water and Salty Lemon Tonic Water (all 200ml bottles)

To match the Gin, there’s a set of three tonic waters from the new Schweppes premium 1783 range. I must admit that I was surprised to see these in the box as they’re such a mainstream brand, but this new range is made from natural flavours which is great to see. Still, they’re not as flavourful as brands like Fever Tree, but for Schweppes, this is a positive step in the right direction and I really enjoyed trying all of these flavours with the Cucumber one being my favourite.

GINFUSION Botanicals 4-Pack

Boost your regular G&T with these bespoke Gin Botanicals from GINFUSION, which are easy to use, ready blended packs of garnish. Just make your drink, tip in the contents, wait a minute for the botanicals to infuse, add your tonic and ice, and enjoy! These are such a cool idea and really do give your G&T a flavourful twist.

For snacks this month, there’s a mini bar of Willie’s Cacao Raspberries & Cream White Chocolate which is very luxurious and delicious, and a bag of the brand new Kallo Pop Chips in Sea Salt & Sicilian Lemon Vinegar flavour – yum!

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this month’s Manchester Gin Distillers Cut with the new Schweppes tonics!

My surprise favourite drink to make though, was the Manchester Gin Raspberry Infused flavour with the Rose botanicals from the GINFUSION. Absolutely heavenly and such a lovely drink to enjoy for the warmer months ahead!
