Here’s what’s inside this month’s Craft Gin Club:-
Gin of the Month: Perfume Trees Gin (70cl / 45% ABV)
Imported exclusively for Craft Gin Club members, this month’s featured gin comes all the way from Hong Kong! The bottle is absolutely stunning with its elegant square shape and oriental-inspired illustration and I’m happy to report that it tastes as good as it looks.
Perfume Trees Gin evokes the streets of Hong Kong with an aromatic flavour that’s bursting with a blend of traditional and oriental botanicals. Here you’ll find Longjing Green Tea, White Champaca Blossom, Chinese Angelica, Aged Tangerine Peel and Sandalwood, mixing with Juniper, Liquorice, Orris Root, Coriander Seed, Lemon Peel, Green Cardamom Pod, Cinnamon and Grapefruit Peel. The result is fresh and herbal with a slightly bitter Green Tea aftertaste!
Mixers & Drinks: The London Essence Co Original Indian Tonic Water and Mangajo Dream Team Sicilian Lemon Pressé & Green Tea
There are three drinks included this month – two mixers, both Original Indian Tonic Water from the excellent The London Essence Co (I really love the fresh purity of their tonics), and a can of Mangajo Dream Team Sicilian Lemon Pressé & Green Tea, which you can enjoy on its own or use as the base of the Cocktail Of The Month recipe (which you’ll find in your GINNED! magazine).
Additional Garnishes: Dried Kumquat, Jade Blossom Cocktail Syrup and Holy Lama Lemongrass Spice Drops
To fit with the theme of this month’s oriental gin, there’s an interesting selection of appropriately matched extras to add further flavour to your G&Ts and cocktails this April. Try adding some of the Dried Kumquat to a classic G&T, or use the exclusive Jade Blossom Cocktail Syrup in this month’s Cocktail Of The Month recipe. The Holy Lama Lemongrass Spice Drops are perfect for an Asian-inspired meal too!
Sweet & Savoury Snacks: Candy Kittens Sour Watermelon Sweets and Tyrells Veg Crisps
To round off the box, there are two luxury snacks to satisfy both sweet and savoury cravings. The Candy Kittens Sour Watermelon Sweets are absolutely delicious with a slight tang and vegan-friendly recipe, whilst the Tyrells hand-cooked Veg Crisps (featuring parsnips, beetroot and carrot) are lightly salted for a moreish, crunchy flavour.
