Here’s what’s inside this month’s Craft Gin Club:-
Gin of the Month: Rock Rose Citrus Coastal Edition (70cl / 41.5% ABV)
Distilled in Caithness, Scotland, this exclusive Citrus Coastal Edition has been made especially for Craft Gin Club members and features a summery taste of the beaches of northern Scotland. There are bright citrusy notes from Lemon Verbena and a delicious oceanic umami flavour of Kelp which is balanced by a little Liquorice Salt which is added post-distillation for the faintest hint of salinity.
I found this gin to be quite unusual and at first, I wasn’t all that keen on it, but the more I’ve tasted it, the more it’s growing on me! It’s a unique and fresh gin that’s best enjoyed during the summer months.
Mixers & Drinks: Lovely Indian Tonic Water and Breckland Orchard Elderflower Posh Pop
For mixers this month, there are two bottles of Lovely Indian Tonic Water, which is really lovely indeed! You can use these to create the Perfect G&T, and there’s a bottle of Breckland Orchard Elderflower posh Pop which features in the Cocktail Of The Month – you’ll find the recipe in your GINNED! magazine.
Drinks & Mixers: Thatcher’s Cloudy Lemon Cider and DASH Blackcurrant Water
More drinks, and these can be enjoyed on their own or as a mixer with gin. The Thatcher’s Cloudy Lemonade is a great BBQ friendly drink that’s very summery and the DASH Blackcurrant Water is a real thirst-quencher – perfect for this heatwave!
Garnishes & Syrups: Grapefruit & Goji Berry and Highland Sling Cocktail Syrup
You can add even more instant flavour to your drinks with these handy garnishes and cocktail syrups. Try the dried Grapefruit & Goji Berries in the Perfect G&T, and then follow up with a splash of the Highland Sling Cocktail Syrup in the Cocktail Of The Month recipe – I tried both last night and they were delicious!
Sweet & Savoury Snacks: Kettle Thai Sweet Chilli Crisps, Copperpot Caramel & Sea Salt Fudge and Serious Pig Crunchy Snacking Cheese
To round off this month’s Craft Gin Club box, they’ve included another fantastic selection of premium sweet and savoury snacks.
