The Craftiosity subscription box is definitely one of my favourites and this month box is amazing! I adored the previous bath bomb box but I think this one might be even better. Each month contains a new craft project from bath bombs and ceramic containers to a tote bag and a papercut lamp!
I’ve been lucky enough to receive quite a few of their wonderful craft boxes over the past few months but this one is my favourite so far! The project is to create a nordic winter wreath which is perfect as I’ve been looking to buy a festive or winter wreath recently!
The kit comes with everything you need to create the wreath including the vine wreath ring, moss, wire, decorations, paint and a paintbrush and a ribbon to hang the wreath from when you’ve finished. There are easy to follow step by step instructions in each box but a video tutorial is available on their website as well.
The project was very easy to create and it only took me an hour or so but it was a very relaxing and stress free hour! First you have to paint ‘snow’ onto the pinecone and alder cones to make them look festive and snow covered. Then you can use the wire to attach the Finland moss to the wreath in whatever style or quantity you want – I decided to cover most of the wreath with moss and I love the way it looks!
You can then add the pinecone and alder cones onto the wreath with the wire which is what I did for the large pinecone but for the smaller aldercones I used superglue as it was a quick and easy option that seems to have worked really well. I also added in the cute red berries to the wreath (I painted a little white onto them too). It took a little time getting the moss where I wanted it and again I used superglue to secure it.
I’ve had the wreath hanging up in the living room for almost a week now and nothing has fallen off and it looks amazing, in my opinion! I love the trick of adding white paint to the pinecone and aldercones to make it look more festive. It was such a relaxing and very christmassy project for a chilly November evening and we now have such a lovely wintery wreath for the festive season!
