Love trying out new food and drink products? Degustabox is a monthly subscription box which specialises in just that. They work with both household names and new independent brands, so you can expect to receive a great variety of products delivered to your door every month. I always enjoy opening them up when they arrive with my housemates as there’s always something for everyone to enjoy!
This month’s Degustabox is another filled to brim box of goodies, and here’s everything that I found inside:-
Capsicana Brazillian Smoked Paprika & Spices Seasoning Mix (RRP £1) and Mexican Guacamole Mix (RRP £0.65)
Featured as the product of the month, these two seasoning mixes are part of the newly extended range of authentic Latin American flavours from Capsicana. The Capsicana Brazillian Smoked Paprika & Spices Seasoning Mix is a delicious blend of spices which can be used for marinating, sprinkled onto meat or veggies on the BBQ or used in your favourite fajita recipes. The smoked paprika gives it a lovely kick!
Guacamole fans, on the other hand, will enjoy the Mexican Guacamole Mix – a super quick and easy way to make a yummy guacamole as all you need to do is add an avocado, mash it all together and it’s ready! Packed full of flavour, I made this last night and everyone loved it.
Rosie’s Pig Flat Tyre Sparkling Cider (RRP £2)
If you have signed up for the alcoholic version of Degustabox, you’ll receive a can of Rosie’s Pig Flat Tyre, a sparkling cloudy cider which is made with rhubarb. It’s very refreshing and the perfect drink to enjoy on a hot summer’s day!
Ribena Sparkling Blackcurrant and Pineapple & Passion Fruit (RRP £2.70 each)
New from Ribena, these Sparkling drinks come in a range of fruity flavours and are pre-mixed so that you can drink them straight away and they’re only 15 calories per bottle. They’re also packaged in glass bottles which is great to see as we’re all cutting down on our plastic consumption, and these flavours were really good.
Miso Tasty Aka Red Miso Soup (RRP £3.75)
Handy to take to work for a quick and easy lunchtime option, this pack of Red Miso Soup from Miso Tasty has individually sealed sachets, ready to be mixed fresh when you want them. To accompany the miso paste, there are also packets of mixed garnishes which have warming spices, seaweed and spring onions, and these finish off the soups nicely.
Percol Iced Coffee Protein Latte (RRP £1.50)
Next up, you’ll find one of two flavours of Percol Iced Coffees which use 100% organic and fairtrade arabica coffee beans. I received the Protein Latte flavour which has 18g of protein in it, so this was an excellent choice to drink after a sweaty morning workout to refuel and recharge!
Peckish Rice Crackers in Cheddar Cheese flavour (RRP £1.59)
Peckish Rice Crackers are thin, light and crispy crackers that are made with rice bran oil. They’re gluten-free and baked not fried, so they’re a good healthier option to most other mainstream crackers on the market. These ones are in a moreish Cheedar Cheese flavour and are under 100 calories per portion.
Pulsin Salted Caramel Raw Choc Brownie (RRP £1.59)
I’ve tried a few products from Pulsin in previous Degustaboxes and have always enjoyed them, but this Salted Caramel Raw Choc Brownie is the best so far! It’s absolutely delicious and is a lovely guilt-free snack for when you want something sweet and cake-like. I’d definitely buy this again.
Rowntree’s Less Sugar Fruit Pastilles (RRP £1.29)
New from Rowntree’s are a less sugar version of their famous Fruit Pastilles. These are made with 30% less sugar than the regular ones and contain no artificial flavours, colours, preservatives or sweetners. I think these would be great for kids as a healthier option as it’s always good to try to cut down on the amount of sugar that they consume.
London Flavours Crisps in Lightly Salted and Oak Smoked Chilli (RRP £0.75 each)
Made from the best British potatoes, these premium crisps are hand cooked in small batches to ensure an even crispier quality. In your box, you’ll find two of four flavours and I was happy to receive Lightly Salted and Oak Smoked Chilli. Both of these were delicious and I agree, you can really taste the quality and difference with these!
Cadbury’s Highlights Milk Chocolate (RRP £2.99)
Next, I found a tub of Cadbury’s Highlights Milk Chocolate which I haven’t had in ages. Each cup is only 38 calories and it’s low sugar, so this is great for those who are watching their figure or cutting down on their sugar intake, but still want something chocolatey.
Heinz Salad Cream (RRP £1.49)
The last product in this month’s Degustabox is an old classic – Heinz Salad Cream. I haven’t tasted this in years (I think the last time I had salad cream was when I was in high school!), but it’s just like how I remember! Tangy, creamy and a yummy way to liven up sandwiches and salads, with less fat than mayo.
