Degustabox is a popular food and drink subscription box and I love the variety of products that you’ll find inside. Each month, you’ll receive a surprise selection of items, many of which are brand new and from leading brands, so it’s often a fun way to try out some different products before everyone else.
May’s Degustabox is themed Brunch & Afternoon Tea and below are all of the goodies!
Nestle Milkybar Mixups (RRP £0.65 each)
New from Nestle, these Milkybar Mixups have already been popular across social media and feature a ‘mixed up’ bag of white chocolate buttons with a cocoa filling and milk chocolate buttons with a milky filling. You’ll find two bags to enjoy in your Degustabox and they’re a good size for lunchboxes or popping into the car as a road trip sweet treat.
Splenda Sucralose Sweet Minis (RRP £1.50)
Looking to cut down on your daily sugar intake? This clever little packet from Splenda can help. Made from sucralose, this low-calorie sweetener makes it easy to reduce how much sugar you consume. Each sweet mini has the same sweetness as a teaspoon of sugar but without the calories, so you can try them in your favourite tea and coffee without even noticing the difference.
Shore Seaweed Puffs (RRP £1.19 each)
Shore Seaweed Puffs are a new healthier savoury snack that are more nutritious and gluten-free than regular crisps. They’re also low fat, under 100 calories per bag and suitable for vegans to enjoy. Available in four different flavours, they have a lovely crunchy texture and lots of umami flavour – yum! You’ll find one bag in your Degustabox to try out and I highly recommend the Thai Chilli flavour!
Bravura Foods Free From Fellows Midget Gems (RRP £1.99)
These healthier sweets are made without sugar, gluten, dairy or gelatine, so lots of people can enjoy them. They are also egg free, soy free, GMO free, nut free and free from artificial colours and flavours, yet still have the same delicious and chewy texture as regular Midget Gems. Yum!
Daelmans Duo Stroopwafels Caramel (RRP £1.29)
If you’re a regular coffee shop drinker, you’re probably already a fan of these moreish Stroopwafels. These ones from Daelmans are made to an original Dutch recipe and have a crunchy cookie/waffle texture with a syrupy softer caramel filling. Pro tip – enjoy them like the Dutch and pop one over your hot drink to gently warm it – delicious.
Oteas Black Tea & Apricot (RRP £3.75)
It wouldn’t be an afternoon tea themed box without some actual tea would it?! Introducing the ‘product of the month’, this box of Oteas Black Tea & Apricot features a blend of black tea infused with sweet and nutty apricots for a light and full flavoured drink that you can make for any time of the day. All of the ingredients are responsibly sourced and packaged in biodegradable tea bags making them a real winner!
Kuhne Gin and Whiskey Cornichons (RRP £2.59 each)
Next up, I found an interesting product that I haven’t come across before – spirit infused cornichons! These will definitely jazz up your Summer picnics and brunch options and they are so damn tasty! You’ll receive one jar in your Degustabox, but they kindly sent me the two flavours to show you – Gin and Whiskey. Both are amazing, but if I had to choose a favourite it would probably be the Gin.
Fruity Beauties Snack Bars (RRP £1.50)
Perfect for kids and adults lunchboxes, these Fruity Beauties Snack Bars are made from 100% organic, fairtrade and natural ingredients. They are packed full of healthy fruit and each bar counts towards one of your five a day too.
Hellmann’s Vegan Mayo (RRP £2.15)
I was pleased to see a jar of this Hellmann’s Vegan Mayo because I tried it earlier in the year and it’s amazing! Honestly, you wouldn’t even realise that it’s made without eggs or dairy because it tastes basically the same as regular Hellmann’s Mayo, if not better. It’s also gluten-free and a good source of Omega 3. Brilliant in any kind of sandwiches or on burgers.
Koko Dairy Free Super Milk (RRP £1.99)
I was also happy to see the new Koko Dairy Free Super Milk which is enriched with nine essential vitamins and minerals. It has a creamy, full-bodied flavour and can be used to replace full-fat cow’s milk in drinks or recipes. The boosted nutrition element makes it ideal for all ages to enjoy, from toddlers to seniors.
Firefly Drinks Lemon, Lime & Ginger (RRP £1.55)
Next up, I found a bright yellow glass bottle of Firefly’s popular Lemon, Lime & Ginger Drink. These revitalising drinks are packed full of botanicals to give you a refreshing health boost throughout the day. They are also vegan-friendly and contain only naturally occurring sugars with no artificial flavours, preservatives or colours.
Lagioisoa Et Amorosa Prosecco (RRP £3.39)
When you sign up to Degustabox, you have the option of an alcohol or alcohol-free box, and if you chose the former, you’ll find a lovely bottle of prosecco in your box this month. Take it with you to your next picnic or day out and enjoy a cheeky tipple with the girls!
Indie Bay Spelt Pretzel Bites with Rock Salt (RRP £1 each)
Indie Bay has reinvented the classic pretzel with these moreish bite-sized pretzel balls which are made with Spelt flour and then rolled into chunky Rock Salt. They’re deliciously crunchy, savoury and a good source of protein and fibre. Plus, they’re suitable for vegans and are less than 100 calories per pack.
Real Good Ketchup Smokey BBQ (bonus item)
To finish off the box, I found an extra bonus product from Real Good – their Ketchup Smokey BBQ is a tangy, smokey and slightly sweet condiment that you can slather over burgers and hot dogs during your next BBQ party. Vegan-friendly and packed full of flavour, it’s reassuringly low salt and contains no added sugar for a healthier BBQ sauce.
