The Fantasy Box is a subscription box service to add a little bit of spice to your personal life. The box provides ‘the ultimate date night’ and encourages couples to open up to one another and explore new things. Packed in a very pretty and good quality red and black box, there are instructions, role cards and questionnaires in addition to lots of products! The box I received was the first box in the Classic subscription option which retails at £59.99 per box. Lets jump right in and explore the box!
When I first opened The Fantasy Box, I was a little overwhelmed – it seemed pretty scary at first glance! However as I read the information that came in the box, I learnt that the box is just about open communication and giving you new ideas to explore if you want to. The great thing about the box is as long as you are in a loving, safe relationship then there is no pressure – if you don’t want to use something in the box, you don’t have to! The box can also be suitable for everyone – although the cards may be labelled ‘for him’ and ‘for her’, the principals of the box would still be completely suitable for a same sex couple. In fact, on their website, The Fantasy Box ask that if you are a lesbian couple you let them know, so they can ensure the box is tailored to you. Unfortunately they don’t offer a tailored box for gay male couples at the moment, however they are currently working on this.
The instruction card explains that this first box is designed around the theme of communication and anticipation. The date night should follow two parts – a romantic dinner & a game.
Part 1: The Dinner
The romantic dinner is not just any romantic dinner, however – there are two sensual surveys for you each to fill out prior to dinner, so you can discuss your answers over dinner. I recommend maybe leaving this until dessert because else you might get a tad turned off your dinner…. or maybe that’s just me. Just remember – although some questions might be a bit too much for you, give it a go, and if you don’t feel comfortable with any questions you don’t have to answer them! I actually found some of the more ‘raunchy’ questions funny as opposed to scary – that in itself provided a bonding moment for myself & my partner as we could share a giggle!
Part 2: The Game
This is where the The Fantasy Box gets really interesting…. part 2 is where the fun comes in! There are two ‘role cards’ – one labelled leader and the other follower. You’re meant to each pick a card and go along with the instructions. Relax, have fun, and just remember – you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do!
So… what goodies are included in the box? There’s a vibrator, lubricant, a blindfold, a massage candle and even a really pretty negligee and thong. All of the products were extremely good quality – especially the lace negligee! The massage candle was a nice touch, although do make sure you test the heat of the wax on the back of your hand first of all – the last thing you need is to get burnt!
Overall, I think The Fantasy Box is a really great idea. It would be a brilliant way for couples who are a little nervous or shy to open up and try new things, and even if you choose not to partake in ‘The Game’, you are still getting your money’s worth in the products in the box.
