Gambettes box is one of the most unusual subscription boxes out there and it’s one of my favourites too! It hails from across the English channel in France and it provides a range of tights each month inspired by French street style. Usually each month there are two pairs of printed tights but this months box contained three pairs of sockettes.
The May 2018 box contains three pairs of patterned socks or sockettes which are something I haven’t used before. The socks came in a gorgeous summery woven pouch which will be perfect to use as a toiletries bag while travelling or for summer weekends away. The socks are all one size and I love the styling of the socks on the leaflet included in the box.
My favourite pair of socks is definitely the Avantage socks which are sparkly evergreen fashion socks in a 65 denier thickness or opacity. I love the colour of these socks as it’s so unusual, metallic and so pretty!
I also love the Tie Break socks which are black polka dot socks in a 17 denier thickness/opacity and look so cute! I love any designs that feature polka dots and these are very cute sockettes that would be perfect with black shorts, sneakers and a stripy tee.
The third and final pair and the Smash sockettes which are delicate black socks (17 denier). This final pair are the simplest pair and I think that’s what they’re my least favourite but they are still cute! While I was surprised to see three pairs of socks within the box rather than tights, I’m still happy with the May Gambettes box!
