Hands up who’s been watching the new season of Game Of Thrones? Of course you have, it’s so enthralling! What better way to add to your geeky GOT collection than the latest GeekGear subscription box, and as a new customer to their service I have to say that I am so impressed with the great selection of up to date GOT goodies. If you haven’t heard of GeekGear it’s an all-in-one monthly subscription service for gamers and geeks which usually has a dual theme each month to give you between 5-10 up to the moment geeky goodies for £19.99. One of the real plus points is that each box will have an exclusive t-shirt inside so remember when you subscribe to state your clothing size. If you don’t fancy the idea of a monthly fee there is also the flexible option of buying a one off, great if you want to try the box out too and see if it’s the right subscription box for you. I have just spotted a brilliant one-off Harry Potter themed box on their website too and judging by the review online it looks like a really fantastic value box too.
On to the latest April GeekGear box and the theme was Dragons And Thrones which of course Game Of Thrones had to fit nicely in, also included is a Dragonball Z item along with a Harry Potter print and even a sweet (fiery!) treat. Let me just start by saying that this subscription box offers really good value for money, if all things geeky is your style, this box is up there with the best for value and being very current in the geek world, and what a perfect gift it would make too either as a one off or a rolling subscription (if you are feeling generous!) also the t-shirts are available in adult or child sizes – male or female. The t-shirt included in the April box was from GOT House Stark and being an exclusive t-shirt this will be much coveted and I just love it! I was one of 100 lucky subscribers to receive a gorgeous GOT bag, messenger style in the box, which is looks really fabulous and is practical too. I’ve not idea how they managed to fit it in the box as it’s quite big, I certainly couldn’t fit it back in!
Not to worry if you didn’t get the bag though as subscribers either got a very cool Jon Snow mug or GOT coasters in place of the bag – all very collectable for GOT fans! Following the GOT theme and included in all boxes was a set of four glass magnets to add to your fridge, car, office or bedroom – wherever you like really as they look great! I think you’ll agree that these great GOT additions make the April box super special and I for one thank GeekGear for including them.
Including a poster into the box is ideal to get some geeky illustrations on your wall and this month it’s in the shape of a Dark Souls 3 poster, plus you also get a Harry Potter print which looks great framed – of course both are dragon themed to go with the box. From DragonBall Z in each box was one of four Diamond Block figures to put together, a very cute ‘dragon’ figure to display. On to the last item which was a fiery Atomic Fireball – a hot spicy gobstopper (to turn you into a fire breathing dragon…) to have while you look through all the goodies in the GeekGear box!
What was my impression of my first GeekGear box? I was really impressed, from the cool looking ‘treasure chest’ style of box on the outside to the assortment of perfectly geeky goodies inside. I was thrilled with all the items and being a huge GOT fan was so happy with the three GOT inspired goodies, I think the cost of the box offers very good value and the fact that each box includes a t-shirt is great as these are the items that are always so costly. If you are a geek at heart as I am, this box will appeal to your inner geek and I like the fact each carefully curated box follows a theme and is very current too, I’m totally sold on the GeekBox and itching to see what goodies will be in the next box!
