Glossybox – August 2016

This month’s Glossybox is a special collaboration with the luxury accessories label, Rae Feather, to celebrate Glossybox turning five years old. Considering how many beauty subscription boxes have risen and fallen over the years, to be able to stay around for five years in such a competitive market is a pretty impressive feat ,and clearly demonstrates how well received Glossybox is with its consumer base of beauty junkies.

So what’s inside this special birthday box?IMG_6071Rae Feather for Glossybox Mini Monogram Pochette (worth £20)

It wouldn’t be a collab box without something special from the partner brand, and Rae Feather have exclusively designed this cute Mini Monogram Pochette just for Glossybox this month. It’s a small canvas style zip-up pouch with a pale pink and white GB and stripe design. Great for storing makeup or little holiday/travel bits in.IMG_6077IMG_6074MUA Eyeshadow Palette (worth £4)

The star of the box for me personally is this gorgeous eyeshadow palette from MUA (Make Up Academy). I own a couple of these MUA palettes and they are all fantastic quality so I’m very much looking forward to trying this one which is called the ‘Hall Of Fame’ palette and features 12 of the brand’s bestselling shades. Lovely mix of neutral and cool toned matte and shimmer shades.IMG_6079Mudmasky Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask (20ml travel size, full size is worth £53)

A PH-balanced facial treatment, this mask from high-end brand, Mudmasky, is formulated with all natural ingredients and is paraben free. It promises to thoroughly detox the skin, refining and tightening pores, hydrating, brightening and smoothing it all at the same time. That sounds like one hell of a multi-tasking face mask! I can’t wait to try this out this weekend as my skin has been feeling a little congested recently.IMG_6081Spa To You Deep Pore Facial Cleansing Brush (full size worth £6.99)

Cleansing brushes are still very popular and if you haven’t yet tried one, Glossybox have included one from Spa To You so you can test out the cleansing trend for yourself. This brush features specially designed bristles to help buff away dead skin cells for a deep but gentle facial cleanse. Just wet it and use it with your regular cleanser to see the benefits. Easy!IMG_6084Cowshed Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion (30ml travel size, full size is worth £20)

The last item in this month’s Glossybox is a travel size body lotion from the all natural brand, Cowshed, who I’ve tried a lot of products from in the past (and they’ve all been very good!). This is their Invigorating Body Lotion which is packed full of essential oils such as lemongrass, ginger and rosemary for a fresh and uplifting scent, whilst the formula boasts lots of hydrating ingredients such as shea and cocoa butters. Smells amazing and sinks into the skin quickly without any stickiness.

So there we have it – Happy Birthday Glossybox! Here’s to another five years of beauty box goodness :)
