Whether you’re a fan of Valentine’s Day or not, February’s Glossybox has plenty of new beauty products for you to fall in love with. Their iconic pink box has a special ‘LOVE’ design on the lid this month to mark the occasion, with bold typography and a cool monochrome stripe pattern to give it a bit of an edge. I love it when beauty boxes do this as the boxes themselves are really handy for storing all sorts of bits and bobs in afterwards, and the more visual designs look great on vanity or bedside tables.
There are five products in this month’s Glossybox, all of which are full-size this time around bar one, and I knew there was going to be a perfume included as soon as I opened the lid!
Here’s what I found inside the box:-Jeanne Arthes L’Eau de Rose Eau de Parfum (full size 30ml, RRP £20)
The perfume that I could smell is this gorgeous rose fragrance from Jeanne Arthes, a master perfumer who has worked alongside the famous Grasse fragrance house for the past 35 years. A specialist in creating everyday modern fragrances with a chic French twist, this perfume is definitely one for all the rose fans out there. It’s a true classic feminine floral scent that’s been brought up to date with clean and crisp notes to give it a contemporary feel. I do enjoy a good quality rose perfume and this one’s a lovely new addition to my perfume collection.La Theorie des Volcans Noir Eternae Youth Potion Face Scrub (full-size 30ml, RRP £26)
Formulated with mineral rich volcanic paste, this exfoliating mask promises to draw out impurities and deeply cleanse the skin, whilst making it plumper and smoother. I love that it’s 90% natural, suitable for vegans and free from parabens and silicones, and it has a really interesting pale pink colour that turns grey to show you that it’s ‘working’. I’ve tried it once so far and it did a great job of unclogging some stubborn pores and leaving my skin feeling thoroughly clean and refreshed, so I’ll look forward to using this on a more regular basis.Garnier Ultimate Blends Honey Treasures Strength Restorer Balm Hair Mask (20ml sample, full size is worth £4.49)
I’ve used a sample of this before in a different beauty box and I like it a lot. It’s a good hair mask treatment to try if you have dry or damaged hair like I do, and you only need to leave it on for five minutes before rinsing, so ideal to use if you’re busy and short on time! If you have short hair, you can probably get two uses out of this sample, but for my longer locks, it was just enough for a single try out.Ciate Paint Pot in Fade To Greige (full-size 13.5ml – RRP £9)
Ciate Paint Pots are some of my favourite nail polishes around and I have a fair few of them on my vanity. They have a fantastic formula (they apply smoothly and have a fab brush) and the range of different colours that they do is huge, plus the bow packaging is cute too! This shade Fade To Greige is such a modern classic – a gorgeous taupey, violet grey that just seems to go with everything. I love it!MeMeMe Beat the Blues in Oyster Gold (full-size 9ml, RRP £7.25)
Liquid highlighters are a super easy way to get in on the popular strobing makeup trend, and this one from MeMeMe is a stunning pale metallic gold with lots of light-reflecting shimmer. I haven’t tried anything from this brand before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but first impressions are good so far! It’s easy to blend and work with, and can be used to illuminate any area of the face and you can also mix a little into your foundation for all over radiance to brighten up dull skin.
The contents of this month’s Glossybox are worth over £60 so it’s amazing value for money with a great variety of skincare and makeup included.
