Glossybox – February 2018: Galentines

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Glossybox have decided to do a cool ‘Galentines’ theme this month to mark the occasion and help you celebrate this loved up day with your best friends. The popular monthly beauty box still contains five products and there’s a really good mix of brands in this one!

Regular subscribers to Glossybox will know that their boxes are usually sent out in their classic pale pink colour, however this month, there’s an extra special Galentine’s design and I love it! I think it’s so bright and youthful – this print is lots of fun!

On top of my Glossybox was the monthly menu which provides further information about the products enclosed, so shall we take a closer look at February’s beautiful edit?

Ciate London Mini Geology Paint Pot in What The Shell? (RRP £6)

I’m a sucker for minature bottles of nail polish as I never seem to finish a full-size one ever, so I was thrilled to receive this super cute mini Paint Pot from Ciate. Ciate are one of my favourite nail polish brands as they have great quality formulas, are cruelty-free (PETA certified), and are suitable for vegans too. This bright purple shade called What The Shell? is from their Geology range and looks amazing on! There are various colours available this month, so you may receive a different shade in your box.

Steve Laurant Nude Pop Lip Tint (full size, RRP £17)

I haven’t heard of Steve Laurant before, but they’re a cruelty-free makeup brand and this Nude Pop Lip Tint is absolutely beautiful in its rose-gold packaging – it looks very luxurious, doesn’t it?!  The lip tint has a really nice creamy formula and feels moisturising on the lips, which is a must for this time of the year. The subtle nude tint looks equally great for every day, as it does with a smokey eye for the evening, so it’s a nice and versatile product to have in your makeup collection.

Studio 10 Makeup Mist Glow-Plexion (20ml travel size, RRP £14)

I’ve been impressed with the Studio 10 products that have appeared in previous Glossyboxes, and I’ve been wanting to try this Makeup Mist Glow-Plexion for quite some time after seeing some positive online reviews about it. This mist is the perfect pick me up for when you want to prime, refresh and hydrate your skin, all in one or two quick spritzes. You can also use it as a setting spray, so it’s another fantastic product for makeup fans to try out!

Sleek Makeup i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Storm (RRP £8.99)

For budget-friendly makeup, you can’t beat the high street favourite Sleek, for products that really perform and do what they say on the tin. This month, Glossybox have included an eyeshadow palette from them and there are various colourways available. I received Storm which contains a fab mix of neutral and darker cool-toned colours, so you can create a whole host of different eye looks with these. The shadows are richly pigmented, apply smoothly and are really easy to work with.

Skin Chemists 24-Hour Aqua Repair Facial Serum (full size, RRP £64)

The fifth and final product is a special skincare treat that’s suitable for all skin types. Skin Chemists’ 24-Hour Aqua Repair Facial Serum promises to deliver deep-down hydration and minimise redness in the process, making it sound like the perfect Winter skincare friend. I’ve tried it twice so far and it plumps up and moisturises my dehydrated skin so well. This is also the full-size product which is worth an incredible £64!

Our score: 9.2/ 10

I love the mix of brands and products in this month's Glossybox and I'm especially impressed by the Studio 10 Mist and the Skin Chemists Serum!
