Glossybox – July 2017: Hello Summer

This month’s Glossybox has arrived and it’s themed around ‘packing light but clever’ for your summer getaways this year. Instead of the usual pink Glossybox, July’s box is packaged in a bright coral pink box with ‘Hello Summer‘ emblazoned in gold across the front and inside is a mixture of travel-friendly sized products, summer problem solvers and makeup that can stand up to the heat.

Sounds perfect!

There are five products as usual; four are full-sized and one’s a deluxe travel size so it’s great value for money this month.

Here’s what I found inside:-

Bellapierre Cosmetics Banana Setting Powder (full size, RRP £25)

This product has been on my beauty wishlist for a while as I’m a big fan of Bellapierre’s makeup, so I was thrilled to finally get my hands on their popular Banana Setting Powder! This finely milled mineral based powder has a yellow hue which helps to counteract any redness, discolouration, blemishes and dark circles in pale skin tones, and creates beautiful highlights against olive and dark skin. It’s great to see a product that will work for all skin tones and I’ve been loving using this to set my undereye concealer with as it really helps to brighten everything up. Fantastic stuff!

Spectrum Collections Small Fan Brush A10 (full-size, RRP £4.99)

Spectrum do some amazing affordable makeup brushes and this small fan brush is beautifully made with high-quality synthetic bristles. I love the graduated colour of the bristles which add an element of fun and creativity, and the slim pastel pink handle finishes off the design nicely! The bristles are lovely and soft too making this brush perfect for applying any kind of setting powders or powder based highlighters.

MONUspa Soothing After Sun Lotion (100ml deluxe travel size, full-size RRP is £19.95)

A good after sun product is an essential summer skin care staple and something that I always pack in my holiday bag. This one from MONUspa is packed full of nourishing ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E to soothe, hydrate and cool down red or irritated skin. You can also use this as a regular cooling body lotion so it’s a fab 2-in-1 product to pop into your suitcase.

CuteBalms Macaroon Tint Balm in Crushed Berry (full-size, RRP £5.99)

How adorable is this balm?! Shaped like a macaroon, the lid twists off to reveal a tinted balm in a pretty berry pink shade that smells of sweet berries! You can apply this to both lips and cheeks, and it gives a lovely wash of colour that looks very natural and fresh. Love it!

Papanga Spiral Hairbands (full-size, pack of two, RRP £4.99)

The last product is a pack of two spiral hair bands from Papanga. Hair can be easily damaged when you use tight elastic bands, so Papanga have developed these plastic based spiral hair bands to prevent breakage and split ends from happening. How clever is that?!

Our score: 8.8/ 10

I loved this month's Glossybox. The Bellapierre Banana Setting Powder and the Spectrum Fan Brushes are brilliant beauty discoveries and I know that I'll use everything in this box. Excellent value for money too!
