June’s Glossybox is the perfect treat for beauty fans who are getting in the mood for their summer holiday and the (hopefully!) warmer days ahead. This month, they’ve included five summer related products, plus a cheeky bonus sample. Let’s delve in and take a closer look at what’s inside the iconic pink box.
Spa To You – Natural Konjac Sponge (full size, RRP £6.99)
The first product that I pulled out was this konjac sponge which is excellent timing for me as my previous one finally wore out the other day, so I was going to purchase another anyway! Don’t you love it when that happens?! If you’re new to konjac sponges and have never used one before, they’re basically an all natural, eco-friendly, face sponge made from vegetable fibres from the konjac plant. They’re very soft and springy when they’re wet which makes them perfect to use with your favourite cleanser, and they gently exfoliate your skin and help to refine your pores. I’ve used them for years ever since a friend from Japan introduced me to them, (they’re big in Asia) and they’ve really taken off in popularity here in the UK now. I haven’t tried this brand before but I like that this one’s a decent size as some of them can be on the small size.
STARSKIN Eye Catcher Smoothing Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Eye Masks (pack of two pairs, RRP £8.50)
I was really happy to see these in the box because I’m a big fan of STARSKIN’s sheet masks and I’ve tried these Eye Catcher eye masks before – they are amazing! They’re soaked in vitamin-rich serum and feel super hydrating for the undereye area, so they help to reduce the appearance of dark circles and get rid of any puffiness that you might have. I find them useful to have in my skincare stash so I can have them on standby to use for those times when you have a late night, but need to be up for work or Uni early the next day. Great little hangover fixers that help you look like you’ve had a full 8 hours of sleep, when in reality you got home at 4am! Also really useful to use when you’re a plane, especially on long haul flights, to put the moisture back into dehydrated skin.
De Bruyere After Sun Lotion Monoi (50ml, RRP £9.48)
After Sun products are always handy to pack into your suitcase as they work a treat when it comes to soothing sensitive skin that’s been out in the sun all day. They also help to prolong your summer tan by keeping the skin supple and moisturised. This one from French brand, De Bruyere, contains Monoi (gardenia petals soaked in coconut oil) and Vitamin E to intensively nourish and hydrate your skin. It’s also parabens and silicone free, and it smells like coconuts. So good!
Ladival Sun Protection Spray SPF 15 (full size, RRP £19.99)
No summer beauty box would be complete without a sunscreen, and this one from Ladival looks promising as it’s a non-greasy, perfume-free, water resistant, spray formula. I generally go for higher sun protections like SPF 30 or 50, but I would still use this for the end of summer in the UK to protect my skin, or I might save it to use on my face during the winter months.
Emite Makeup Lip & Cheek Tint (full size, RRP £12.50)
For makeup lovers, Glossybox have included a Lip & Cheek Tint from Emite in a gorgeous bright rosy pink shade. As the name suggests, this dual purpose product can be used on both the lips and cheeks for a flush of colour that’s long-lasting so it won’t melt off or fade away in the summer heat. I’ve tried it both ways and prefer it on my cheeks, but it does work well on the lips as a base colour too.
Aussie Hair Care 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Deep Conditioner (20ml sachet, RRP £1.09)
Lastly, this month’s box includes a sixth bonus product in the shape of this travel size sachet of Aussie’s best selling 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner. I’ve used this many times over the years and I still rate it as one of the best budget friendly haircare products for anyone who has dry or damaged hair. It gives your hair a serious hydration boost which in turns makes it much more manageable, adds shine and reduces frizz.
A great value beauty box this month with a good mix of interesting summer related products – nice one Glossybox!
